The 28/02/015, the largest private Vanilla server ever made opened, with more than 4.000 players online. This is all thanks to the community which has faith in our project becoming international!
During this opening, huge DDoS attempts from all over the world tried to break down the server, challenging the mitigation system delivered by our provider. This system worked as intended and you can now feel safe playing on our server. Thanks to our Dev. Team's skills, the Mangos core was completely reworked. This server proves that it can be stable with thousands of players online, without any lag. A part of the Dev team is still working on the server optimization: we can handle a lot more than just 6.000
Each day, new players create characters and come to our server, which is now reaching ~5.900 players online, merely one week after release (+1.900 in a week). Our facebook is coming up on 3.000 likes (over a 100% increase in a week). The same goes for our youtube-account, with over 1.200 subscribers, but that's still not enough!
A few days ago, a huge outdoor PvP battle involving hundreds of players took place on the realm, and lasted for 3 hours, even with battlegrounds available. You can check it here. It's fantastic to see history relived on Nostalrius begins, with such epic battles, as there used to be back in retail!
As a reminder: Don't forget that we are currently in pre 1.4 patch as described here. Consequently, some quests are missing because they simply weren't available at that time.
So what's next?
* A specific section on the website will be added. This section will list all the streamers playing on the server. Feel free to notify us about your streaming account here.
* A public bugtracker will be available within a few weeks.
* Server release is one thing, but we can't rely on it. The Dev team is still working constantly to fix all the issues known so far. Please find a list here of all the work done in less than a week after the release.
* The Game Master team keeps growing, to provide an online support 24/7 on the server.
