I have a question about Database Player , if Blizzard open somes legacy servers can we keep your Characters ?

Because lot of us had spend maybe 1 year of their time to play on their character .

What are some ways the Nostalrius community can keep the momentum moving forward? I am getting a Nostalrius shirt and today was the first day I heard someone talking about the server in public with a few other people. If this is still going on during the summer, I would tempted to go to a Legion release event and not make a scene but simply be seen repping Nostalrius. And finally, to keep things truly old-school I am writing a letter - it might be the first of many - to Blizzard. I am just wondering, who are the people I should be addressing it to?

None of Blizzards reasons for not implementing legacy servers hold much air. It really is their belief that the current iteration of WoW is the best, and to admit that a large chunk of players feel otherwise by launching vanilla realm is something they are too proud to do.

If I had to guess, I'd say no. I think if Blizz goes through with this, it will start over, on a progression schedule similar to what Nost did.

We will never stop asking for the re-release of the greatest computer gaming experience of all time. How could we? To stop asking for it would be an immoral act of huge proportions.

Not to put pressure on you viper & daemon, but the hopes of my entire family + extended family are with you being able to get Blizzard to agree to a vanilla pre-tbc server. We all want to play and we are all willing to pay.

If legacy happens me and many of my friends will cry tears of joy.

I'm just going to say; do your best guys. That's all we can ask.

Blizzard says that they cannot find a legal way to allow legacy private server exist and not fail to protect their intellectual property.

"Why not just let Nostalrius continue the way it was? The honest answer is, failure to protect against intellectual property infringement would damage Blizzard’s rights. This applies to anything that uses WoW’s IP, including unofficial servers. And while we’ve looked into the possibility – there is not a clear legal path to protect Blizzard’s IP and grant an operating license to a pirate server. "

They also claimed on multiple occasions that the original version of the game does not exist anymore, making it a reason for not launching their own legacy servers. My simple question is why the heck can't they use the Wow version created by the Nostalrius Begins team?
