Look at the full picture, guys.

Opening a Legacy server is not that simple, since there have to be multiple different platforms for VARIETY of players with personal preferences. Not only that you need Progressive ladder servers, you would need "normal" servers with no Reset, never the less PvP and PvE variations and all of this should also be attached in some way to the current Live world of warcraft.

It does not work the way you people would want by simply making few servers with progressive release, since those servers would dry out in 2-3 years for most part, and its not in Blizzards interest in any way to have a " Divided player base "

About E-Sports though it is true that WoW has that potential. If there would be ladder servers with Arena Seasons, it would be a great sport and entertainment, including Speedruns for older PvE content with competition involvment.

Look at it as a whole. Nostalrius staff, Streamers, WoW Community have finally won the FIRST ROUND in achieving a ladder for negotiations.

Holding back the source code is the right choice for AS LONG we have that ladder of negotiation. Releasing the Code or speaking about doing so would be literally pissing on the face of Blizzard. Dont let your emotions blind you, fools!

Good job Daemon!

kott0n wrote:What is so shocking about them combining 3 weeks worth of tweets into a forum post, not releasing source code and on top of it actually assuming these "talks" with blizz is going somewhere?

They brought them to Cali so they wouldn't release the source code, jokes on them.

Someone didn't learn how to read.

If you think the talks are anything more then a PR move on blizz part, I'm sorry.

Depending on the talks with blizzard, if they don't want to play nice and pursue middlegrounds for legacy servers... Then nost should release the code so that we as a private community can continue on with someone willing/capable of running a server that would be otherwise "untouchable".
