I don't need to prove my worth to anybody, I want to be able to make friends, join guilds and play the game like everybody else.

If thats a peak of your Nost ambitions then you don't need fresh start to begin with. For anything else than 5mans any mby pug zg and mc u will need to appear worth to people that decide about giving you a spot in groups. It doesn't mean u have to be geared asap but I have a feeling (yes I'll give myself a right to judge you based on a "feeling" as it seems you gave yourself right to do same) vanilla ain't for you man.[/quote]

I won't allow people to judge me just because they have better gear than me, I played through Vanilla from the start of retail WoW.

And "appearing worthy" to people is all about asslicking, I don't remember ever having to do that, usually I would just meet a large group and I'd be able to join in regardless of gear because that's how it was back then.

Nobody had a single fucking clue what they were doing and most players were equipping the best looking gear instead of the best gear for their specs.

But of course, a lot of you seem like you never actually went there on retail, I don't doubt some of you have, but I can tell that most haven't, otherwise you'd understand what I'm saying here.

Who cares about you newfags that joined late, we put many hours into our characters and we are the ones that built the Nost community if you want a fresh start then Nost can open 2 PvP servers, one with old characters and 1 fresh and the pve community can decide for themselves what they want to do since i have not hear their opinion on this matter,.

Btw nothing against new players it's just that don't come in here demanding shit when there are people that were here a year and a half before you.

Not too sure why you guys are talking about that while there is another thread solely for that question...

I had only joined for a couple months before the end, so I could care less either way. But it sounds hella unfair for the guys and gals that poured months of work into a character that they'd end up losing. That said, what happened to the folks who erased their own characters after Nost announced the end? Also, a lot of people really like the experience of a fresh server, especially for a community like Nost, so...

The realistic outcome, and I'm sure Nostalrius knows this, is that we are probably going to see a new server, along with the old two. I mean, there's been so much publicity about Nostalrius and it closing. I know 12 or so people that didn't know about Nostalrius at all that wanted to play it after it broke. The influx of new players will demand a new server anyway. For the characters coming back, I'm quite sure we might be seeing a throwback, like a week before announcements or something, just so we can have the old characters back... If they even can do that...

-Nimastrellan, lvl 22 Healadin. ;D

You can do that even with old characters in game, what stops you from joining some fresh formed guild and making friends with either old or new players? Feeling that you won't be boosted thru content with new guild but some other people have it easier than you with already estabilished team? And don't even bring up that AH shit ...

1. Wanting a fresh restart, basically eradicating THOUSANDS of hours played and progress made by the core players that built this community?

or

2. Re-open old server, and start a fresh one ON THE GOD-DAMN-SIDE. (This would satisfy BOTH FUCKING SIDES).

protip: its #2. And noone will EVER convince me otherwise.

EDIT:

For the casual dim-wit, subhuman filth that complain "I wont get invites to any guilds because I wont have the gear". You are wrong. All you need to join a BWL-clearing guild is pre-raid bis. Thats is it. You literally dont need anything more than that.

Jesus, you're not a Vanilla player.

Vanilla players never behaved the way you do, never had the elitist attitude that you do.

You call us casuals but I bet they also played through Vanilla like I did on retail and got far better gear and progression.

You're again just afraid of having to compete with new players, like everybody else whos arguing against this.

You don't like spending time getting back to where you were? Why did you level alts then? You already had a main with gear, why would you spend time getting back to where you were if you already have one fully progressed?

No, I want everyone to not need to be boosted because they'll all start fresh with the same gear.

Why should I not "even bring up that AH shit"? Isn't that a good reason? Or maybe it is and you just want to "shoo" it away because it's a good reason?

Well you need to download vanilla 1.12.1. But there is no announcement that the server will be back again. We need to wait for the Nostlarius to respond after Blizzcon. You can just google it vanilla 1.12.1 download then search for some clients. As far I know Nostalrius didn't had custom game client. Only custom realmlist
