Stress Session

by Viper » Sun Jan 25, 2015 6:18 pm

Dear community,

Subscription for the Stress Session will end on the 26 of January at 10:00 PM GMT+1.

The Stress Session will be held from 30th of January to 1st of Febuary without interruption :
* Starting at 11:30 PM GMT+1 the 30th of January,
* Ending at 08:00 PM GMT+1 the 1st of Febuary.

Dev & IsVV Team already process 67% of the reports from the PVE Session of last week. It should be at 100% for this Friday.

Will be available during this session :
* the 15 PvE dungeons listed in the last PVE Session,
* Zul'Gurub and the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj.

The goal will be for testers to check if the report they made has been taken into account. If you think it's not the case, please check that your report was legit, by adding proofs from the net, and send back a new report with the sources you find.
The goal for us will be to check server stability by having players doing a lot of differents things everywhere. We'll search for possible server crashes by doing internal's actions to stress the core while you test.

The in-game "Game Request" is now linked to our BugTracker. Consequently, PTR Bug Report section in the forum is locked. It will help us to balance workload inside our Team and will help you to write a report without leaving the game.

For those who already received an account for the PvP or PvE Session, you will keep your account, characters and items, and a new password will be sent to your registered email address.
For those who subscribed *in time* on the website after the subscription of the PvE Session, a new account will been sent to your email address, granting you access to the realm.

As for the last Session:
* Any hack attempt will result into a permanent ban (a dedicated session for skilled hackers will take place at another date),
* Server will start in debug mode with additional tools for monitoring purposes. During the PvP Session it reduced the server overall performance by 10.

We suggest all of you to check the corresponding PvE and Raid contents (quests, boss / NPC techniques, events) from Vanilla retail as soon as possible (right now?) to prepare yourself for the session. As the number of instances is quite big, we suggest all of you to begin creating groups for a complete instance check-up from this list.
It's a great opportunity for the guilds to start some organization / meeting internally :)

T1 equipment will be available for players willing to go in Raid20 instances.

NB1 : Server restart may occurs during the session.
NB2: PVP scripts will not be a priority.
NB3: ~3.200 players are now following us (+500 in more than 2 weeks).

Stay tuned for more info !

Best Regards,
Nostalrius.

That is damn good news.

Since you announced that Items will be introduced consecutively (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=603), it might be interesting to always announce what Patch you will give us, so we can try to find improperly adjusted items. I guess though it will be 1.12.1 for this time, right?

Keep up the good work!

Great news, excellent job you did - and do.

How exactly shall we subsbcribe for the Stress Session ? Did we just have to connect during PvE session last weekend ?

Can't wait for the release, be strong guys, you've got a crowd pushing you now ;-)

And what about quests?? About ten of my friends liked this server on your facebook page and they are waiting for the release to play slowly every quest in each zone by zone because we are, and there are probably many more like us, PvE oriented players, not just dungeons and instances but quests.

Will there be some session zone by zone for checking quest scripts and mobs (including rares and elites) (from HP, mana, their resistances, armor, their minumum and maximum damage, their attack speed and attack power, their equipment, repuation, loot table and drop rates (so important and so widespread bug on private servers), their position if they are not moving, their patrol route if they are moving, artificial intelligence, their abilities, spells, buffs, debuffes and how do they cast them, when do they cast them, for example all mobs that have spell to summon their minion, if you slay mob's summoned pet they should start casting spell to resummon their pet, here is example for Burning Blade Cultist located in Durotar http://db.valkyrie-wow.org/?npc=3198#abilities, also for Fizzle Darkstorm also located in Durotar has some special spells that he rarely cast on private servers because A.I. is completly bugged (referring to mangos default state) http://db.valkyrie-wow.org/?npc=3203#abilities, these mentioned mobs are only examples in the jungle of buggs, then I remember there were some mobs that had spell to drink potion when they are low on health (murlocs in Elwynn forest and some ogres as far as I can remember), one more thing is that when you pull more than one mob, 5 for example, they should not stand in one standplace, they should not overlapp but they should spread, here is proof https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzbUL5y ... j3AOXmmlrw, then some mobs (not all ofc) should "cry out for help" and run to the closes mob for assistance when mob is low on health, mind control casting by mobs etc...)

I am not advertising or advocating any server but Kronos & Corecraft made some nice improvements for creatures A.I. (mob's A.I. is higher comparing to official vanilla I think) and you should check those videos (and their youtube channel because there are not many videos) to compare with your server to ease your job.
Here it is Kronos' Creature A.I. #1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO7geZF8SQ8
and Creature A.I. #2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IyojQ31gafA
Corecraft's Mob's A.I. Part One - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXn7HRgYe1c
and Mob's A.I. Part Two - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifBSRD4Kiac

Keep up the great work, you are surely making serious hype :)
