Blizzard release timeline:

1 - (Game) Warcraft I - You can play this game using a DOSBOX emulator. There are two campaigns on this game and they both cover the First War. The events of the human campaign, however, don't fit very well with the actual storyline of the other games. Medivh really gets defeated by a human raid and Stonard & Rockard do get destroyed, but the humans don't achieve victory over Blackrock Spire (last mission of the human campaign). In the other hand, everything that happens in the orc campaign can be taken as canon. Make sure to read the manual too, because it has some background stories for the game as well. - Download instructions -
Download the official game manual - Download all soundtracks in ZIP and files in MP3

2 - (Game) Warcraft II - Just like Warcraft I, you can still play this game and it's expansion pack. It covers the Second War and the Alliance expedition through the Dark Portal. If you want to learn more about those Stormwind statues on the entrance, look for the expansion pack campaign. - Download instructions - Download the official game manual

3 - (Novel) Of Blood and Honor - This was the first novel to be published and it was written by one of Blizzard's main storyline directors: Chris Metzen. This story is set in Hearthglen/Stratholme (Lordaeron) and it features the paladin Tirion Fordring, Barthilas, Taelan Fordring, Dathrohan, Thrall and a few other characters. What makes this book an interesting read is the clash between the orc and human culture and values. The main character initially portrays the orcs as purely evil creatures but this vision changes during the course of the story. - Download in PDF

4 - (Novel) Day of the Dragon - This novel is set after the Second War and it features Rhonin (a mage from Dalaran) and his companions on a quest to free the dragon Alexstraza from the Dragonmaw control. - Download in PDF

5 - (Novel) Lord of the Clans - This novel is about Thrall and his escape from Durnholde Keep. If you ever walked around Hillsbrad Foothills you have already noticed that keep before. - Download in PDF

6 - (Game) Warcraft III - This game's campaigns are full of interesting lore and characters. It explains the second Burning Legion invasion into Azeroth, Arthas corruption, the rise of the Scourge, the rise of the Blood Elfs and many other storylines. Although some parts will be retcon'd (look at Keldan's observation bellow), it also covers the Broken Isles, which will be featured in Legion. - Download instructions - Reign of Chaos Manual - The Frozen Throne Manual - Download all Reign of Chaos soundtracks in ZIP and files in MP3 - Playlist with all the cinematics on YouTube

7 - (Novel) The Last Guardian - This novel goes back to the events of the first Warcraft game to explain the beginning of the First War. - Download in PDF

8 - (Novel) Well of Eternity Trillogy - This basically covers the War of the Ancients storyline, which is set thousand years before the First War. It explains a lot about the night elfs, which were introduced in Warcraft III, and their main characters (Malfurion Stormrage, Ilidan Stormrage, Tyrande Whisperwind and Azshara) - Download in PDF

9 - (RPG) RPG Books - These announced to be non-canon only around 2012, so for classic World of Warcraft this is still very useful source. Actually, even some retail players still find them useful. - Downloads in PDF

10 - (Game) World of Warcraft - Alongside with the Collector's Edition, players had access to the World of Warcraft Art Book and to the World of Warcraft Behind the Scenes DVD. - Art Book in zip and files in JPEG - Behind the Scenes playlist on YouTube - Download the official game manual - Playlist on YouTube with all the trailers - Download Taverns of Azeroth album in ZIP and files in MP3

11 - (Novel) Cycle of Hatred - At the end of Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne, humans and orcs were allies on the continent of Kalimdor. But in World of Warcraft, the two sides are enemies again. Cycle of Hatred explains that change. It takes place during the four year gap between the two games, and involves the humans on Kalimdor lead by Lady Jaina Proudmoore and the orcs on the same continent lead by Thrall. - Download in PDF

12 - (Novel) Rise of the Horde - This novel is set in Draenor and it explains how the Horde got corrupted and the conflicts with the draenei. - Download in PDF

13 - (Comic) World of Warcraft Comics 1-25 - Ever wondered where is Varian Wrynn in World of Warcraft? Well, this is one of the main stories featured in these comics. - Download in zip and files in CBR

14 - (Game) Burning Crusade - Playlist on YouTube with all the trailers - Art book page-by-page on YouTube - Behind the Scenes playlist on YouTube

15 - (Manga) Shadow Wing - This was supposed to be a trilogy, but only two volumes were actually published. - Download Dragons of Outland in CBR - Download Nexus Point in CBR

Story timeline for the books/games/manga/etc:

In my opinion the best way to get through the content is by the Blizzard's timeline that I just listed above. But if anyone wants to check out story by it's own timeline I suggest to follow this guide made by WoW Insider.

How to read CBR files:

The World of Warcraft comics are in .CBR - and you need a special program to read those files. You can download this program here. After downloading and installing it, simply right click the .CBR files and select the option to choos a specif program to open them. Find CBR Reader that you just installed and your comic books will be opened.

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans Campaign:

Before Reign of Chaos (Warcraft III) the campaigns were not linear, so you could have two different endings according to the race you selected. There is specific progression that you can make, however, that will make the game more linear.

HUMAN 1 > ORC 1 > ORC 2 > ORC 3 > HUMAN 2 > HUMAN 3 > HUMAN 4 > HUMAN 5 > ORC 4 > ORC 5 > ORC 6 > HUMAN 6 > HUMAN 7 > HUMAN 8 > HUMAN 9 > ORC 7 > ORC 8 > ORC 9 > ORC 10 > ORC 11 > ORC 12 > HUMAN 10 > HUMAN 11 > HUMAN 12 (FAIL)

Note the Broken Isles featured in WC2&WC3 have been retconed in Legion.
Only the names Broken Isles, Suramar & Tomb of Sargeras remain.
Warcraft RTS : The Broken Isles are ruins of the elf city Suramar, raised by Gul'dan during the Second War to find a powerful artefact in the Tomb of Sargeras, a huge elf Temple in ruins, full of mad demons. He dies trying to get it, and its troops are killed by the rest of Doomhammer's Horde, leaving just the Stormreaver Wreckage in the middle of it.
Legion : The Broken Isles are now a solid continent that was always there with Vrykuls&Tauren&Forests, Suramar is an intact city of gothic elves, and Tomb of Sargeras is just a monument. No sign of the Orc naval battle.

It is unknown how Blizzard could manage to fix such a big retcon, since the original Broken Isles event are reasons of Horde 2nd war defeat and much of the Frozen Throne plot.

Hey, thanks for pointing that out!! I will take a deeper look later on and add that info on the main post.

Yes! I have the Ashbringer comics and all the other comics as well. At the moment I cannot upload those because I am traveling. But I will upload all of them eventually with the rest of the novels and stuff.
