Not sure about translation from french:
Nvidia Control panel > Manage 3D settings > global > DSR (1.2x 1.5x 1.78x 2x ... each one you enable = a new resolution to choose from)
DSR 'smoothness ?' (the slider) > 33%

higher resolutions should be available in game but you may need to run wow fullscreen

Also backup your WTF folder before doing that, it may break your UI

Does it even make a noticeable difference?

Does turning on Ambient Occlusion in the NVidia control panel help things at all for wow?

Could you explain the 'injecting antialiasing from Nvidia control panel'? I have a 940m in my Laptop and the Control Panel. Can I do the same thing?

Well it's been several days but I might as well answer, for what it's worth.

The inject AA from the Nvidia control panel, you update your drivers, right-click on the desktop, go the control panel. When you're there, "Adjust image settings with preview," click on "use the advanced 3D image settings." Then, click the blue link beside what which says Take me there. Scroll down to World of Warcraft (wow.exe) or add the program yourself to the list. I set anisotropic filtering to 16x, antialiasing mode to enhance the application setting, and antialiasing transparency to 8x. That should smoothen any jagged edges around models. Note, the Antialiasing - Setting option does nothing. You can set it to Application-controlled after setting Transparency. Here is a pic of my current settings.

How did you setup downsamplling?

Read guides on how to do it. It's the same process for each game. I've done it for several. It can diminish FPS though, so I don't really recommend doing it, unless you have a beast computer.

It does make a different, but it glitches. Not worth turning it on.

For those wondering:

1920x1080 1xAntialiasing:

1920x1080 8xAntialiasing:

3840x2160 (4xDSR = scaled down to 1920x1080 onscreen):

Use F11 to see the last one as I see it with DSR.

To me, not an improvement worth the lower fps :x
I'll stick with 1xAntialiasing, pixel perfect UI is better.

Why is MaxLOD set to 3? Shouldn't it either be 0 or 10?

After inputting all these setting do we leave the -console in the target line or can we take it out? Thank you!

I have a few questions for all you fine folks. Trying to get my game looking to my tastes/performance level.

I have set my WoW graphics using the settings provided in the first post. Game looks quite a bit better, but there's two things that still irk me.

First is Grass/pebbles etc. With the settings provided the radius at which it fades in and out is pretty god awful. Even if I could double it I would be more than happy, is there a way to go about doing this?

Second, The view distance is utterly terrible. I can't set farclip past 777 otherwise things fail to load, and even then that's just for terrain right? Is there any way to set it so both things like tree's and rocks, and terrain show up at even just 1000 distance? That little amount makes such a huge difference. I'd obviously be happier with a bit more than 1000 if possible, I just don't know how to do it if it is at all possible. I don't need that fog cockblocking the visuals of the game basically.

Third. While not a huge issue to me, it would improve quality of gameplay/visuals significantly for me, if possible. Is it possible to use higher resolution textures for the game? The ground honestly looks fine, but things like Tree's and even some Buildings, even the harbors/docks look fairly dated. A small change here to even just double the texture resolution would make these things look better. If anything else, Tree's would be a priority. I can live with everything else, but tree's when you're running around just plain don't look good or even decent.

Performance isn't an issue. 40-50% gpu usage can reach up to 300 fps for me. I just want to make it actually work, while providing me with a far better gameplay experience.
