Just started Nostalrius, any fun classes for vanilla that anyone recommends?

It really depends what you want to do etc. It's your character and your choice, make something you'll enjoy and want to invest the time into :) Hard to really choose a "fun class" as it's 100% personal preference.

I'd say Warlock.

Free mount at level 40.
Generally needed on both sides.
Easier time to level due to being a pet class.

I'd actually say druid is great for a first character. You get to experience and practice a lot of aspects of the game-- healer, tank and rogue-ish stealth and DPS. Plus good survivability (probably best class for escaping from being ganked) and no need for a mount at 40.

You should play what makes the most fun for you. Vanilla is much time investment in one char. If you do not like the class you wont get far. so dont play what the server needs, play with the class you can play good.

This is very true. Honestly, you won't be making many alts in vanilla so make sure you pick a class that you are happy with playing full time.

Druid, warlock or hunter
But you should pick the class that suits you the best, not everyone likes casters for example :)
Choose PvE realm for the best experience, PvP is too overpopulated

Don't ever pick PvE or you will be bored really fast. What makes vanilla interesting is the world PvP.
