Fresh 60 healing spec

Fresh 60 healing spec

by Selwin » Thu Mar 31, 2016 10:23 pm

Hey, so here’s a talent build that I just made : http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#bxMusV0oZcxtcc0Vx

Is this the “ best “ build for a priest with little to no gear?

alliance or horde?

you don't need the imp renew as a fresh 60 priest. grab 2/2 healing focus for pushback prevention. you will get 1 extra point in holy to use so you can pick whatever floats your boat. holy reach or Spirit of redempt.

as for 1/2 martyrdom over 1/5 silent resolve, if alliance I can see this being ok. even though martyrdom wouldn't help at all if big mobs crit you. (splat death)

1/5 silent resolve may give more implicit value in the long term.

hope this helps.

I'm horde, I agree with 1 point in Silent Resolve instead of 1 point in Martyrdome.

Thanks for the help.

Depends what you want to do I PVE, PVP , 5 man dungeons , farming gold with a partner in dungeons, support , disc with spirit buff and PI for buffing one lucky caster but nerfing your performance overall healing and also I guess it comes down to what specc you prefer for the way you heal and for the circumstance.

I only do PVE therefore all the info below is for PVE.

This specc is viable from when you have green/blue gear freshly ding to heal all dungeons and raids and perform very well if you have raidframes and a setup for how you heal.
It works very good for PVE during all content out right now.

When it comes to gearing you can think like this, If the item got +healing and mp5 you want that item no questions asked.
If it only got + healing or mp5 its up to you if you want to collect it for + healing gear and mp5 gear for certain fights and compare them to other items which got highest +healing and maybe there even is an item with only mp5 which is stronger then the item with + healing but thats rarerly the case unless its the wand which is preference in my opinion.

It's my talents which I like in PVE raiding and find most strong for the way I heal and for the people we got in my guild.

This spec is the basic and optimal PvE holy priest build: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#bxRhsV0oZdxtcc0Vx

The 1 point in renew is the only point that you have some discretion with. When you hit 19 points in Holy, you have 1 point to put somewhere in renew, spell warding, blessed recovery, holy reach or searing light. You need to hit 20 points in order to unlock spiritual guidance. The only talent of those that will improve your ability to heal is renew, so why not put it in there to get 20 points.

This is the best build for pure PvE healing.

You may have people tell you that holy nova is useless for healing, and they are mostly right. The reason you take holy nova is because it allows you to aoe farm DM East. With the money you get there, you can buy your epic mount, enchants, gear, and most importantly, raid consumables. If you have another way to make a lot of gold, you can take the point from nova and put it somewhere else if you want.

Once you have a ton of gear (like 800 +healing), you can switch to a disc/holy build to get Power Infusion. I did so recently. There is a big debate about the precise best Power Infusion build, but this is the one I use: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#bxMusVVqobxtcc
