[A] Feral druid looking for raiding position

by Flp1LUPh » Wed Mar 11, 2015 8:57 pm

Im still leveling (only 31) but super keen to head on straight into raids at 60. Dont really want to PvP. I am an oceanic player, my schedules very flexible so I would not mind having to get up at 04:00 in the morning or w/e the raid times are. Feral druid.

Have played on many private servers before but they all just.... fizzle out?

Don't want to burst your bubble but feral is not a viable raid spec for vanilla. This is coming from a prior full t3 full naxx clearing druid. Sorry mate. I would recommend swapping to resto and building your feral set for as you progress.

Yup this guy speaks the truth. Even boomkins rarely get a raiding position. You know how it goes, paladins heal, druids heal, priests heal, all the other specs are pretty garbage

Especially true in an 8 debuff slot limit environment.

Most people won't be bringing a shadow priest with 8 slot debuff either.

The only reason a raid lead would prefer to keep a 3rd or even more warrior offtanks instead of using a feral druid is plain ignorance of feral druid capacities.

Feral druid is the best tank on several raid encounters. This includes a "checkpoint" boss like Vael, on which feral druid is an optimal option considering DPS then tanking.
On other encounters, the ability of feral druid to be a very good tank and a good DPS with one spec, and only by switching gear, makes it a better option than warrior for 3rd and next tanks.

I hope those speaking about debuff limits don't think feral dps is limited if bleeding effects are forbidden. This is vanilla, not BC or other extensions. The feral druid in raid is supposed to use ferocious bite, which consumes all energy, then quick demorph-remorph to gain 40 energy.
