realmlist.wtf unknown extension

My computer does not recognize the realmlist.wtf file. Is this due to me not having the real WOW installed? If so, do I need to install the full version of WOW?

Hi with does not recognize you mean unable to open?

If so, rightclick on the file and select open with...
Select notepad from the list of programs.
