Lets see, 9000 hordes got a ranking last week and ~lets call the top 90 your "TOP PVPERS", extremely hardcore people that are going for rank10+ That is 90/9000 = 1/100 or 1%. So this change has benefitted 99% of the pvp community vs slightly hurting the 1%. Now lets see the argument that you put in more time?
An avg casual pvper puts in ~5 hours a week, An avg hardcore pvper puts in ~60 hrs/week. That timeshare still ends up being 91% Casuals, 9% Hardcores.
You already put in 60hrs/week pvping so you will continue to be top 2% in honor gathering over the rest of the *peasants* that only play 10-20 hours a week. Why don't you just solo queue and if you are SO GOOD like all the 'top pvpers' claim they are, then you worth 2-3x the regular player in a pug, and you will help your team win mad easily, getting 75% of the honor you are getting at the moment.
Lets see what have you lost: You can't steamroll 3-5 bgs of pugs in a row (You win these without actually pvping....literally) And then on your 4th/6th BG you ended up queueing vs a premade, Which BOTH SIDES ATTEMPT TO DODGE. You CANNOT argue you don't go out of your way to dodge, because you need your maximum honor/hour which you aren't getting if you're actually pvping (wait wasn't acutally pvping your entire argument?). And then continue to grind another 3-5 bgs of pugs and the loop goes on.
I've had the hardcore premades dodge my pugs when we had too many rank 8's. I've had them dodge my casual premades. In fact, the only time there is actual premade vs premade is maybe 2 bgs a day at the end of your honor cycle on monday/tuesday. So you spend ~96% of your week grinding pugs, and not actually pvping.
What have you accomplished: You've practically killed off the pvp scene. On Emerald dream, a server of ~1000 pop online, we always had 2 WSGs going on at the same time without multiqueue. On this server of 5000-7000 online, you have 3 WSGs and 2 ABs, with multiqueue. All the people who pvp less than 20 hours a week, have slowly started disliking BGs.
When we solo queue for pvp though the BG system, we don't get PVP. We get graveyard camped for 30-45 (3-5x games + queuetime) minutes of games, then we finally get a pug and we can have actual PVP.
When we take your advice to "if you don't like getting graveyard camped all day, make your own premade and face us" so we make casual premades of people who want to PVP. We queue, we get a game, its your hardcore premade, nice! Time for actual PVP where we don't get graveyard camped but we provide actual competition and can have legit games! NOPE Your entire team leaves the bg to join another bg and we play against a pug. Then we queue again and you keep dodging us. So after a while, all were doing is graveyard camping the enemy pug adding to the problem, usually at that point I leave cause I wanted actual PVP and I never got it.
Lets be honest here: Your hardcore premades will just solo queue together by saying in vent "OK 3....2...1...QUEUE" and then between 50%->100% of your premade will be in the same game. And since it will be against a pug you will steamroll them again and again until their team is made up of 75% a premade. Then you will dodge them.
What is the result of this change: A huge quality of life benefit for 98% of the server, a slight hindrance to 2% of the server.
