Giving them low chances to get a BL node IF they are/have a herbalist is not gonna change the whole market. It will just be less pain and more gain for those who already didn't have problems farming gold / getting their raid mats.

I wish the bug report gets confirmed and they eventually add a possible spawn in DM E just so you can realize that no matter how it increases supply, it won't match the demand anyways and the market and its actors will be the same.
If you can afford to spend your day resetting DM E for couple Black Lotus, you had the time to farm gold and get more of them in that period of time. And people willing to do that are either gold farmers/sellers (minority) or raiders who need / buy BL already (majority). No point selling them. Supply barely changes. Market barely changes.

The results would be exactly the same as what happened with AV release. Prices drop a bit and then they go back to their default demand vs supply state.

A higher supply would result in a lower price if the demand didn't increase simultaneously but as the server progresses towards AQ the demand will increase.
The price is going to be affected by the spawn rate of the instanced black lotus (if it ever, hopefully, gets added)

Dreez wrote:there's literally 0 information on the spawn rate except for a sentence stating "if it spawns", this can be anything between 0.1% and 80%
even at a 1% spawn rate the supply would noticably increase since there's thousands of DM east instances opened every day

So how do you expect devs to add this hypothetical BL node if there is "literally 0 information on the spawn rate" ?
"Anything between 0.1% and 80%" Between casually getting a green drop and fun server basically ?

1% for 1k DM E is 10 more Black Lotus every day. 2k, 20 more, 3k, 30 more.
And you think that's going to drastically change a market in which the demand will remain way higher than the supply and any unit below a certain amount of gold is insta bought. Please...

Why are people worried about Naxx and shit already?

Vanilla WoW is so incredibly easy that not a single player in your raid needs a flask for any encounter in it.

Not just Flasks, Black lotus should be even more in demand next week right? I mean its needed for the edge of madness bosses. Unless the vast majority of ZG groups decide it isn't worth the effort I guess.

if the spawn chance was 20% (which is not very unlikely considering the linked comment) that'd be around 3 times as many black lotus per day and that would for sure lower the price

I marked the inside Dire Maul East black lotus spawn as invalid. There simply isn't enough information to proof that it exists, and if it does, where it should exist and how often.

Because this topic is sensitive, I wanted to address it here for public eyes. We're working on a plan to drastically increase the number of Black Lotus available to be herbed; when we complete it and implement it we'll give (slightly) more details. We agree that the supply currently is too low for the demand and it will only get worse and we're taking steps to address it.
Please report any issues you have to the Bugtracker

What makes you guys think that a Black Lotus spawn in Dire Maul would not follow the "1 lotus per continent" rule?

Because there is no such rule.

There will be some initial interest, but people will stop doing edge really fast.

The trinkets are terrible for most classes, the drops there are terrible, and doing the trash is terrible.
