Is it possible on vanilla? (Coolline for 1.12.1)

Hey guys. I remember back in 3.3.5 I was using a really amazing cooldown-tracker addon, pretty sure you've seen it as well if you played LK.

http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/coolline-cooldowns

Do you guys think theres any possibility to create/implement such an addon to the patch we are playing on? Or even something close it? Or theres such a big gap in LK and vanilla mechanics so it wont ever happen? :(

EDIT:
The addon is more or less created by Bit and its working on vanilla!
Here are some pics for you guys:

Hey there's no similar addon to Coolline Cooldowns that I'm aware of. Some people were looking to pay someone to backport it or make something similar. You can see in the thread below.

It's definitely possible to do something like it.
-- But you obviously can't track spells where the cooldown can be reduced by talents.
-- So in doubt always track the specced cooldown.

Anyway, there is someone on Kronos that updates a certain Addon that was made during vanilla, which is
only working for some spells r. His version almost covers all spells now, you can see it being used in Perplexitys video (above the enemy frame)

--- Anyway, this is the addon that is being reworked right now.

I adjusted it for my needs, but its nowhere near done for hunters, but perhaps you can do that yourself. ;)

Edit: He's not willing to release his Addon yet. (I asked :()
Edit2: If you want to track your own Cooldowns in such a fashion there is:
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6599-CooldownTimers.html#info
Not sure if the right version is on the site, if it isn't i can upload it.

I think it should be trivial but maybe I'm missing something. I have some time left before the semester starts so I might give it a try.

edit: It really is easy to do. Should be ready in a few days.

Alright, here's a first prototype: https://github.com/shirsig/cooline
You can't customize much, just move it around when holding down alt and change the orientation with double click, also when holding down alt.

Ty for your work, Bit!

Maybe Im doing something wrong, but I cant even see the addon in the addon list at the character picker after I add it to my addons folder. I tried to rename the folder (didnt work), and it doesnt work with default name as well.
Thoughts? :(

Hm, sure you named it right? "cooline" with one "L".

edit: also get the newest version, fixed a little bug

Man, thats amazing.
I mean, ye its just a prototype, and I cant even drag it to wherever I want since when I press and and drag it I cant turn the dragging off so it follows my mouse, and when I put it at the needed place and logout or alt+f4 it goes to the place where it was at first but.....
It works!! I thought its not possible to have such an addon on vanilla!
So what left is some settings with skins, scales, colors of bars and the time limit on the bar, right?

That's strange ... dragging works fine for me. You can't alt f4 (as with any addons, the settings from the last session will always be lost) but logout should work fine.

edit: found the bug, it happens when you release alt while dragging, will fix it soon.

edit2: fixed
