[Job Opening] AddOn improvement

Re: [Job Opening] AddOn improvement

I've installed the AddOn and tried it out.
It's very difficult to understand what is happening because the Code is not very well done.
Over 1000 Lines of Code which contain repetitions, weird variable Names...

At the Moment I try developing an own AddOn which does the same thing but eventually more.
I just don't want to mess around with this Code.

Well, dat would be GREAT. Some other person did his own AddOn too, with the exact same skins & stuff, but never posted his worked and never came back here again :'(, as you might have seen earlier on this thread.

Giving you gold for your work would be again ToS, however I'd be happy to give you a few bucks for your work. Nothing that would really compensate fairly the amount of hours spent, but still. How far are you on your project already? :)

  • Finished Events Plugin
  • Started working on Buff Plugin

  • Added dependencies (AceAddon-2.0, AceEvent-2.0)

I am considering in uploading the current version 0.0.1 Alpha on GitHub so you / the community can contribute.

WoW, this is incredible. I still wait to see what the result will look, but you seem to have completed this whole thing faster than anyone before you could.

Thanks a lot for your work in advance, and please share it whenever you think it's ready :).

Hello again :)
I had some Time to work on the AddOn.

What I have done:
Plugin: Frame
  • Finished methods which create the BuffBar
  • Name and Duration of a Buff get's displayed now
  • Buffs are temporary positioned among each other
  • Buffs are now colored

Plugin: Buff
  • Makes more sense to keep this Plugin because it now manages the Buffs.

Notice
The current way of how the Plugins Frame and Buff interact with each other is a bid weird but I will solve this some time later.

Glad to see your making progress, thank you for the update!

Oh, and please tell me that your AddOn Will also support the "slim" skin (cf. my first post on this thread), not only the one you showed? :3

Thank you for your work anyway! :)

Bump !

Vymen, Have you made any progress? Or are you gonna vanish like all the other people who ever started working on this project? :'(

Feel free to MP me if need be.

Otherwise, Bump if anyone else is interested on working on this too, the more the merrier anyway! :)

Bump :(.

This thread is cursed. Almost 10 pages now, several people saying they could work on that, some of them almost doing all of it, one of them even posting videos & shit of what seemed to be an almost perfect result, but still nothing in the end :'(.

Have you ever considered to do it yourself? I mean you have already some versions right? Just fix them to your likes.
Lua is not difficult. There are plenty of guides on the internet. Im sure if you spend the same amount of time looking into it yourself as you did bumping this thread, you will have a finished addon at the end.
