Greetings Nostalrius,
We are Dreamstate. We are a mature community of WoW players that formed on 20 August 2012 and has been growing since. Our ranks contain a large number of veterans, but also a healthy amount of motivated new forces. Thanks to them we are able to build such a successful guild. We have witnessed many competing guilds collapse around us but Dreamstate remained stable and strong during its entire existence. We have had our setbacks too, but thanks to those issues we have gained a huge amount of experience and know how to keep our guild healthy.
We are active on another server project as well, but we want to explore our horizon as a community. Nostalrius seems very promising so far and we do not want to miss out on the possibility of an amazing journey.
We listen to our community and do our very best to answer whatever the needs might be. We have done all kinds of events to make our raiding versatile and engaging for our raiders - such as speedruns, split raids. The latter entails that we split our raid roster in two equal groups and add alts of the different group to each group. This allows us to gear our mains a lot faster and loot which is not needed can be distributed to our alts. It also makes the raids more challenging and allows players to raid on their alts. As a result of this we are able to build a raid roster with raiders who can switch between roles depending on what our raid requires.
We hold several records on our current realm and we will keep pushing to improve them. 5-man Horde Onyxia, 31min Horde Molten Core & 45min Horde Blackwing Lair clears are only a few of them. Next to the ingame stuff we have done a guild meeting in Salzburg last September and we got another meeting planned in Malta during May. You can find movies about our events on our youtube channel.
Our goal is to continue what we have become. Dreamstate is about bringing strong and mature players together in order to create a healthy community where people respect each other. There is nothing worse than getting annoyed excessively during raids when others do numerous stupid things. It is also important to give players the room they require to fulfill real life responsibilities. Family, studies, .. are always going to be more important than this game. The only thing we ask in return is to communicate about your necessary absences on time.
We use Loot Council for our loot distribution. It is in our eyes the only way to build a successful guild. We have an experienced leadership that knows how to value our raiders. In case raiders doubt the reasoning behind a certain loot decision they can always contact us to discuss what might have been wrong and to listen to where we based our decision on. We are human and do make mistakes but it is important that we get feedback from our raiders. Thanks to the feedback we have received the past two and a half years and our success as a guild we can safely assume that our system works.
We are looking for fresh forces to strengthen our guild for this new journey. If you want to be part of this amazing community, you can apply on our website. Keep in mind, this is our first impression of you and we hope that you spend some time writing it. It is also possible to make private applications. You can do so by filling in our application template and sending it to this forum account on the Nostalrius forums. Only our higher leadership will see the application. You do not have to risk your spot in another guild if we do not see potential in your candidature.
