mixed feelings

by deathsway » Fri Oct 16, 2015 4:51 am

just curious how many other people are in the same boat as me (dont know if i wana reroll on pve or not) i dont realy know the diffrences between pve and pvp server the only reason i realy wana reroll is because i have never played on a brand new server before but at the same time i play here because of the large population and this pve server is going to have a 2500 player cap which is small compared to what we see on the pvp server most days (i hope the pvp server dont loose all its players to pve server) anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Heh, I sorta already used all the gold I had to buy lowbies in Elwynn a bunch of greens, bags, etc, so I am pretty dedicated to the new PVE server, because I have nothing to go back to on the PVP server.

So you don't even know the differences between a PVP and PVE server, yet you take the time/effort of making a thread asking about our opinions when you don't even have a well informed one..? If you would have actually google the differences between server types and read the previous PVE announcement threads you would have already pretty much answered all these by yourself.

2500 is actually a high population server and no the PVP server will be fine.

The important difference is that, you are not automatically flagged in contested zones, you do however have the option to flag yourself, and then the opposing faction's players can attack you, and if they do, then they are automatically flagged and you can attack them as well. If you have not engaged in combat for five minutes, with the opposite faction, you can unflag yourself, if you so chose. Other than that, everything else is the same.

I can tell you from experience that, fresh starts are a hell of a lot of fun, especially on a server the size of this. 2500 may not sound like much, when you compare it to 6800, but, I can assure you that, it is in fact, massive. I played on a full server during retail classic and, getting groups, was nothing. Even a server with 1500 players feels very alive.

This realm is going to have a very small impact on the PvP server, Nostalrius has stated that, the majority of players interested in the new server are from other servers, and players that once played on the PvP realm, but later left. So, I would say give it a try, it doesn't mean you have completely abandon the PvP realm, you can play both.

PvP Servers --> Love PvE raiding/dungeons, but also love the fact they can run as groups in Contested areas and cause havoc by creating that World PvP feeling

PvE Servers --> Love PvE raiding/dungeons, but also love the fact the can farm/grind/quest without the fear of having to get ganked and deal with that stress

Pick which one you prefer. Each has a different flavour
Justino - Tauren Warrior (Nostalrius Begins PvP)

Justino - Dwarf Priest (Nostalrius Begins PvE)
