Thats because the quest you completed is a different one. On this server the quest which doesnt have the rewards is given (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?quest=7382, it was originally introduced with 1.8). But the other quest that gave the rewards after 1.8 is missing (http://db.vanillagaming.org/?quest=8271). It's the same for horde.

So they either need to add the new quest (which is a simple turn-in and the follow up of the "Win 1 AV" quest or they enable the correct quest for Korrak at this state of vanilla.

Yes, I have completed the quest but I cannot combine the stave and sinew because the bow does not exist yet.
