Using Mind Control for paladin blessings on Horde

Has anyone tried this on Nostalrius yet?

I'm talking about a setup where you have a level 60 alliance priest and a level 60 alliance paladin mind control members of a horde raid to buff them with paladin blessings. In current content, I don't imagine this is very necessary but in the future when there are much high DPS and healing requirements for bosses it may make the difference for some horde guilds.

A couple of things to test:
(1) Can you cast greater blessings on mind controlled targets?
(2) If (1) is possible, will other members of the same class in that horde raid also be buffed?
(3) Would this be considered industrial levels of buffing by the Nostalrius staff?

The staff shouldn't mind. If they decide that this isn't desireable it wouldn't be hard to counter it. The only thing that could reasonably get you into trouble is if they put in a counter and you find a way to bypass said counter.

I honestly wouldn't mind counters to buffs from outside the raid such as crossfaction or extra soulstones, however Blizzard didn't add counters to that until later expansions.

Shouldnt be much of a problem for a hardcore raiding guild to xp up one alliance char, having 39/40 buffed should be more than enough.

Yes this works. A pala and priest did this to me right before I got my benediction staff. It did help alot, so thank you. I dont see any guilds doing this to a raid tho.l It's a 15 min buff that needs to be taken outside the entrance, cant really see the value in doing it considering the chance of losing all other buffs should a fight break out.

Yeah, the multiboxing rules dictate you basically can't do anything except trade stuff if you have a separate account open. To do this 100% legit, you'd need other people operating the extra accounts.

Which isn't totally impossible, just adds a hurdle..

Well account sharing is bannable too still right? Therefore you need like 4 palas to buff a raid. In the end if you have one you end up having buffs on everyone BUT the guy who has the hard work and levled it.

Or you could communicate with people who already have the required classes at level 60.

With 8K+ players online it won't be that hard.

Why not just have a Horde priest mind control the Paladin? You don't even need his consent that way, just grab him off the street and get down to business.
