Transferring gold via neutral auction house

by snicht » Fri Dec 04, 2015 2:19 pm

Hey there. I have a high level horde character but just started an alliance toon and wanted to transfer some gold over by using the neutral auction house and a friend of mine. I've checked around and I have found conflicting reports as to whether this is legal (and bannable) or not. Just wondering if anyone knew the official position of the server on this.

Daemon wrote:Hello,

Let's clarify some things first.
You are allowed to trade money / items / enchants ... between your own accounts (as soon as you respect the terms of use of course).
You are also allowed to use to AH in the way you want (either buy items or transfer items between factions for example).
You are also allowed to give items or money to your friends.
...
So the transactions you listed are just fine.

BUT, buying gold from gold selling websites always leads to a permanent ban of your account.
I just confirmed it for your character.

Please respect our rules in the future.

Quick note: You can't buy items posted on the AH from the same account. You have to use a second account as a "middle man".

Also, the neutral AH has a whopping 15% cut.
