I honestly don't see how the thinks can be better.It's basically Nostalrius revived.You have 16 ppl or more from the Nostalrius team in the new server also the code and everything and our characters.I don't get why are ppl raging so much.I am really happy with the decision of the Nostalrius team.

Nostalrius can't just flip the switch on the old server -- it would bring instant legal action against them.

They are transferring the code (AND DATABASE OF CHARACTERS) to Elysium to reboot the old Nost server, because they've stated they'll ignore any cease and desist.

What more could you possibly want? I feel like it was a reading comprehension fail that spiraled out of control because people are retarded.

I don't think it's wise to rebrand the nostalrius server. A brand is a powerfl thing and the entire phenomenon that has taken place has been under that name. Rebranding it to something as random and unsymbolically related to wow as valkyrie or asylum risks becoming just another private server in people's minds. The hype train follows nostalrius, by handing it over to another server you are shaving off a lot of the symbolic momentum and hype you have garnered all over the Internet since the servers were shut down . Psychology and sales 101.

Yea, I was raging pretty hard earlier myself but then I read the Elysium announcement and gathered a few more details and now I feel a little silly. Of course the Elysium devs could screw everything up but I think the Nost devs are doing their best in a tough situation, and it might all work out.

Don't know why anyone is excited about this news, the minute Elysium gets anywhere close to being as popular or big as nostalrius was they are gonna get shutdown just like nostalrius did, so enjoy the few months before you lose your characters yet again, this is just like a kid throwing a last ditch temper tantrum cause they didnt get what they wanted, it won't change a thing cause Elysium will end up getting shutdown just the same if it gets as big.
