Idk about you Stalk, but all I see is a video without the 8 debuff limit.

You still see a video of how the boss works unlike this terribly sourced video of the world first kill by Ascent that proves nothing about how the boss worked in the early stages of original WoW. You also neglected to notice that the original Ragnaros kill video only shows 7 debuffs on the custom Unit Frames that the rogue is using. The following is an internet forum post that mentions taunting of Ragnaros from June 19, 2005 which was long before patch 1.7:
