Just to add some fuel to this fire... I was out questing after work trying to level near Astranaar.. a favorite place for horde players to gank low level players. Whaddya know... two players wait for me to get into a fight with a bear then both attack me and being so much higher level they almost one shotted me. Yay fun...

So I wait 10 mins and float back to my body and res then start out again to find a shrine and guess who shows up again? The same two horde players that camped out to kill low level players. They were killing all the low level players. Really? Whats the point? The point is that these types of players like to aggravate and annoy others... this isnt game play. Dont bitch a moan that a pve server is going to ruin the community. IF you want to do something constructive and useful then bitch and moan at... Beavistwo and Solo as they are the type of 'player' that spends hours ganking low level players and enjoying it... and that leads to people like me wanting the pve.

Seriously.. go talk to Beavistwo and Solo

EDIT... oh big surprise.. I went back on an hour later and there was yet another horde player, level ??, ganking players in Astranaar.. Coathanger was their name.

Go ask Coathanger why they hassle low level players for fun then ask them why they are making the case for a pve server.

I'm really looking forward to starting a toon at ground level with everyone else. I've wasted hours running back to my body after being ganked, really annoying.

Also, too many high level players farming for items for crafting, AH or reputation. I'm level 56 and Winterspring and Felwood are just ridiculous. The population is just too high, goodbye PVP server!

Ultimately, I compare PvP and PvE to sports leagues. I'll pick hockey since I'm Canadian, but substitute it for baseball if you like.

PvP is more like a competitive league. People play to win. Someone looking for just some simple fun and not taking it seriously will get yelled at or made fun of... depending on which side you are on. You play to win. If you don't play at your best, you will have a bad time.

PvE is more like a beer league. You play for fun. You're out to socialize, exercise a little, and drink beer. You don't need to play your best and if you suck, the others are much more accepting as it's not like losing means anything... other than pride lost.

I have moved to prefer PvE. The stresses of work and life, I'm not interested in experiencing the same stress in an intense game and making sure i'm playing at my best. I have to do that 8 hours a day already. I want to unwind.

Yeah very competitive ganking lowbies. The problem is generally not that players can't stand the stress of having to play good, it's that you don't have any chance to begin with when groups or high level players are ganking you.

Still people insist not to get the main idea. The point is not being afraid to compete or sucking in PvP. Most of the members that are waiting for PvE realm want to be able to start fresh with the rest of the server. It is very frustrating to level a toon knowing your best bet would be catching rest of the server at AQ patch.

And it's seriously ridiculous to making that many people to wait for weeks. At least some info about the server release time would be sufficient since 100s of ppl already stopped having fun and playing on PvP server.

For me the main reason is just that I don't want to be ganked anymore, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people feel the same way. I would rather start on an already existing PvE realm, than on a fresh PvP realm. My issue is with the PvP realm, and not the fact that other players are already 60 and raiding. If that was an issue for me, I would've never started playing on Nostalrius in the first place.

Sure, but we aren't the majority. Most of the players on the test where new players.

The reason i quit was many. It was a pain to level up because of overpopulation,
so to get anywhere i had to always fight others for mobs and ninja objects. Just
getting through westfall took forever. The PVP and Ganking is the least of my
conserns since thats part of the game. But the community also reflected that.
Because i have never ever seen a more toxic community, not even on the
retail blizzard servers. In the end i was alone on this server and i quit.

Most of the people i played with moved to kronos because they couldnt
stand being surrounded by what they refered to as the garbage from
emerald dream. But i didnt want play there because of the low population,
an experiance i have had before on another server called the rebirth.

So what im looking for is a fresh start and a better server community,
the server type isn't the driving factor for me. I will PVP regardless.

I've always played in PvP realms so far, ganked, got ganked ye it is true that due to the population ganks are much more abundant than they were in retail but still can be avoided to an extend ( no STV no hillsbrad etc.). And i believe most of the players would be roll in fresh PvP server rather than PvE server if they had a chance to choose.

Questing with alliance as a horde or vice versa is completely untrue to the very core of the wc lore but still we dont have any other option.

And i believe that most of the people out there are driven by the equality in progress not after being able to kill mobs peacefully.
