In patch 1.6, only the existing R14 weapons were upgraded,
Grand Marshal and High Warlord PvP Honor rewards have been updated with improved statistics and new unique art.

You can see the sets still weren't updated as of April 2006 (patch 1.10):

http://web.archive.org/web/200604150546 ... ?setid=395
http://web.archive.org/web/200604150546 ... ?setid=393

It was not until 1.11 that the epic PvP armor received a stat upgrade and the new blue PvP armor sets were introduced,
An updated set of armor rewards have been added to vendors for Honor ranks 7, 8, and 10.
The armor rewards for Honor ranks 12 and 13 have been increased in level and stat point allocation.

If you look at the Nostalrius timeline, it even reflects this information...

It doesn't make sense to have updated PvP gear in the game right now. These items were designed and budgeted to be competitive with players in T2.5 and some Naxxramas gear. With everyone still stuck in T2 on Nostalrius, these items are disproportionately better than anything else currently available.

For example, R13 hunter armor has 30 more agility than the equivalent pieces of hunter T2. Consider that hunter T2 only has 14 more agility than the equivalent hunter T1 armor. The PvP armor is a full tier's worth better than the available PvE armor for PvE content, which is never how it was in vanilla.

If you are only talking stats you need to put the extra intellect, resistant and set-bonus into consideration as well.

Think you guys forgot to add in librams for paladins? Example "Libram of Divinity" Drops from the 6 mini bosses in scholomance that surround gandlings room.

For info: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?item=23201#dropped-by

Pretty sure that it was added in 1.7, just saying.

they had updated the blue set awhile ago, it only makes sense to update the epic set as well

and to wait until naxx to update pvp sets would just be stupid.

This exactly. PvP gear was never meant to outshine PvE gear in the devs' eyes in vanilla. But wth the current items available in game PvP gear is far and away the best gear in the game, which is a mistake. I'd understand if you wanted to move up the PvP gear update to the AQ40 patch- that would be reasonable. But BEFORE AQ40 gear even exists makes R13 gear overpowered.

Well done on ZG, only buggy thing is Bloodlord gains a level for every kill instead of every 3. Jindo was perfect and that was the fight I was worried about.
