Mage or Spriest PvP

Having trouble deciding between rolling mage or spriest for mainly pvp and would like to hear some opinions. Right now i'm leaning more in the direction of spriest but have a few concerns.

-If I ever wanted to start raiding I most likely wouldn't be able to find a raid slot playing spriest.
-Spriest seems like a much more simple class and might get boring eventually.
-Mage seems like it would farm much better than spriest with strong aoe options.
-Opinions on other threads are usually that spriest is an ezmode class and would be better off playing a healer.

Wanted to hear others opinions on these two classes, thanks.

I think mage is alot more effective in pvp (and pve, but thats not the topic) than an spriest. I mean, you can melt faces with spriest, but mage has alot more burst potential, more reliable CC, and since like 50% of the server are going to be rogues, i think you'd enjoy mage a bit more.

On the other hand, the polls indicate that there will be quite a number of mages on the server - even more than priests and when you consider that majority of priests will be healbots for raiding...
