OP wants to see their healing numbers appear above the head of OTHER players, not their own. So really it's not as useful as SCT for just information.

I don't think it's really possible with vanilla. At best you would be able to get the numbers appear above any friendly player within 15-20 yards and the numbers will not scale with distance so it won't really look like the number is above their head. Just like using shift+v/ctrl+v to show friendly/enemy health bars.

For a 5 man, yes. And you shouldnt tunnel vision your grid, this is the reason the majority of players fail at situational awareness.

Dps stare at action bars, healers staring at grids, rogues energy watching, dps wars rage watching and get so focused they have no clue what is going on around them.

In PvP it helps determine heal debuff status and heal crits.

He's probably referring to cooldowns, not clicking.
