You mean the Warrior ability that misses way more often than it actually lands?

75% of the raid bosses are immune to taunt to begin with.

And secondly, both Challenging Shout and Taunt can and do miss since they are actually considered spells and thus require +Spell Hit to work properly which is why Warrior Tier 3 Dreadnaught armour has the following set bonus:

4 pieces: Improves your chance to hit with Taunt and Challenging Shout by 5%.

And warriors would use this trinket in combination with the T3 Dreadnaught set bonus in order to 100% make sure that taunt would work in the Four Horsemen fight:

Nat Pagle's Broken Reel
Binds when picked up
Unique
Trinket
Requires Level 60
Use: Increases the chance to hit with spells by 10% for 15 sec. (cooldown 1.25 min)

Makes Four Horsemen a joke. 4 piece Dreadnaught takes spell resist chance down to 11%, so with this you have a 1% chance to resist taunt.

The cooldown is only 1.25 minutes, so by the time the tank has to get to the next station, its cooldown is up. The fight is certainly possible to do without it, just makes learning/executing the transitions a whole hell of a lot easier.

Lol here we go again! BTW Paladins have no taunt, no tanking tier set, no defensive cool downs, and shitty tps compared with warriors. They will also get crushed because they can't hit defense cap.

Warriors are the intended end game main tank. Through abilities, official documentation from bliz, and just in reality. most tanking abilities, best gear... etc. People use warriors as their MT because they are best.

Paladins are not required for any encounter, even trash. horde cannot use paladin tanks. Hard to get the stats you need, not go oom, and not spend 200g a raid night on consumes. Paladin tanks got much better in TBC.

Theloras has sexually identified with the paladin class as an early pubescent. Thus he cannot consciously admit the class' obvious weakness and shortcomings. He will think paladins tanks >warriors tanks for MT til he is 90.

only small niche for paladin is imps in MC or supression rooms in bwl, but you dont need a prot pally. holy pally in tank gear works same/is useful for the other 80% of the instance. horde manage fine without.

paladins can tank 5 mans well, but its just too much of an uphill battle endgame raiding, warrior route is eassier/better/smarter

if you want the best endgame tanking experience on your time in wow, play a warrior. pref tauren, night elf, or human.

Warrior is best single target tank. Paladin is pretty good at AoE tanking but there isn't a lot of that needed. Save yourself a headache and just pick a warrior.

Your thread is about to be invaded by paladin fuckbois who will swear til the end that paladin is better than anything else. They will post videos of them tanking a few things and will post flawed math.

Can paladins tank? Yes. Should you have one be the maintank instead of a warrior? No. That's all you need to know. get out while you still can.
