Better Dungeon/Raid class: Holy Paladin or Resto Druid?

Paladins are probably a little bit better at keeping your friends alive, and are a bit more straight forward. Druids are kinda goofy in vanilla, but you'll have a easier time getting a raid spot as a druid, as they are usually in demand.

Paladin and Druid are very different healers, both have strengths and weekness.

Which is preferred?

From a bias standpoint i would say paladins, but again Druid have plenty of strengths that paladins can't do, so play by what you want to do.

Which is easier to gear, pre-raid?

Probably as equal, Paladins can wear cloth- plate so paladins would be easier if mail/plate has more to offer, but mostly druids/paladins are even for pre-raid healing gear, they are not limited by cloth.

Thank you for the replies. Both seem to be equally sought after but completely different in play. I will probably eventually try both, end game.
