I Never Played Vanilla: Which Class?

Okay, that was kind of a lie. When I started playing I was like level 40 (maybe) when BC released.

I played a Night Elf Hunter (of course).

I never played another class until I played Paladin in BC.

I prefer hybrid classes. I like to be able to heal in PvE and dps in PvP with the option to heal. I usually play Priest or Druid in WoD.

With all that said, I rolled a druid, but are they viable? Would priest be better?

(I would love any insight on how decent classes were back then, or which ones were good at what ,etc.)

If you want a free raid spot, I'd suggest a Dwarf priest for fear ward.

Druid is fine, but the class doesn't really shine til you have AQ40+ gear.

It sounds like you are asking for a resto shaman. Damage is still an option if you spec them right. However, if you prefer alliance, a priest might be the best answer, still not as much dps as a resto shaman, but ive seen them do well. Some people even level as holy.
