LF in-depth BWL guide

by MrCer » Fri Feb 26, 2016 10:17 pm

Hey guys, I'm new to vanilla content and I'd like to study up on vanilla BWL. Mainly one that also includes information on mob encounters in-between bosses.

Thanks in advance!

Google "vanilla wow <put boss name here>" for an accurate enough description of each boss fight.

Snipe some stream link in /world when one of the top guilds is running BWL, this will give you a general idea on how trash fights work. Just seeing what happens to the raid is enough for 90% of people, you'll only need to know details on everything if you're going to raid lead.

can't really give you that information. but there are specific guides that provide that information for you in 2006. just do some research on google and you will find the information you're looking for. :D

For Razorgore, you will want to protect the person who is controlling the boss to destroy all the eggs, so its a short trash fight then the boss is pretty simple.

For Vael, watch out for the debuffs he places on people, some of them will explode and kill nearby raid members, other than that its a DPS race.

The only real complicated trash area will be the Supression Room, you will need rogues to disarm the traps so you dont get slowed by 90% with a 90% reduction in attack and casting speeds, otherwise its a straight fight to the next boss which is pretty tank and spank for a dps.

The next couple dragon bosses do a shadowflame that you dont need to worry too much about (unless your tanks suck) also there is flame buffet, which you can dodge if you time it right by LoSing the boss. Some of them do a disrupting shout that acts as an aoe shield bash, stopping casting, so stop casting just before he does it.

Some of the trash pulls have people immune to magic, otherwise nothing special, be sure to distribute Hour Glass Sand to everyone for Chromaggus.

Chromaggus has some big debuffs he places on people, and if someone gets all colors they become mind controlled until the end of the fight and do heavy damage, so healers and dispellers will be doing some work here, if you get afflicted by bronze use a sand, otherwise just dps the boss or dispel if you are told to do so.

For Nef you fight a couple waves of adds, then he flames the platform and lands, watch out for class calls and treat it like a dragon so dont stand in front or behind him, he will eventually ressurect all the adds as undead skeletons, so be ready to aoe, or drop some Strathholme Holy Water if you have it, then back to fighting the bosses. Kill dragon good to go distribute loot, rage you didnt get what you wanted, then troll the forums.

Aside from holy water, shadow pots for nef, restoration pots, fire pots, titans flask, and normal melee DPS consumables; anything special I need to bring?
