[Hunter Pet] 2 bugs

1) Over-attached pet
If the pet is on defensive:
You are fighting someone, and you kill them, but you are still dotted when they ress at GY. The pet will start running to their new position, no matter how far that is - this is definitly a bug. I do not know if this is the same for lock pets, but it is for hunter pets.

2) Sherlock-Pet
If you can target an enemy, you can set your pet on them, doesn't matter if they are LoS or not - this is also a bug. This completely eliminates hiding as FC in WSG for instance - I was able to just /tar XXX and petattack, and just follow my pet until it got to where he was, no matter the distance.
No member ever downed a raid boss, by dying for his guild. He killed the raid boss, by DPS'ing it down to zero.

Ones I noticed:
Some pet abilities give an "out of range" error. What the pet should be doing instead is running to range then attacking. Unless my memory is failing me, pets never gave this error. They would just run to the target, getting however much distance was required, then do the ability. On Nostalrius, they reject the command and give you an error message.
Dash, Dive, and Charge won't train from the pets. I tried for a while; but they can't be trained.
Prowl doesn't show its CD.
Volley has no channel animation. This was true at launch, but at some point, Blizzard gave it an animation, where the Hunter would appear to keep firing while channeling. Need to check if this was done in Classic or BC, however.(Or you could just put it in anyway, it's mainly a visual change)
While you control your pet with Eyes of the beast, Dash doesn't increase its speed. I assume Dive has the same problem. When the buff is dropped, the ability resumes working, and the pet will very quickly come back. But while you have control, it won't go faster, even if it should.
Multi task has a cast time, but it doesn't say so in the tooltip or show a cast bar. This is how it worked in Classic, but you may want to consider just putting these in for Nostalrius. It's something Blizzard didn't fix for quite a while.(Probably into BC)

Fixed.

Was not able to reproduce it ... Maybe you were unlucky ?

You seem to be right ... But do you have concrete sources to confirm it ?

isnt that how it actually was since day 1? as long as you can target something with /tar you can send your pet on it, same with priests mind vision

because otherwise, your pet wouldnt be able to attack a player that is hiding behind a tree 20 yards away, now THAT is game breaking for hunters

This is a client related issue that we can't fix :(

Of course, BUT, it is not supposed to be a bloodhound that can find ANYTHING no matter where they are, at least not to my memory. There was a reason people were hard to find in WSG before flags showed up on minimap.

Imo, back in vanilla your pet was able to get on your enemy since you could target him, even with a /tar macro, no matter if your enemy was out of your LOS or not.

This is how it worked back in Vanilla. Your pet will run to attack a target even if it is LoS, even if the target stealths and the player no longer has a target the pet will still follow the target and attempt to break the stealth, assuming you didn't input any other commands for your pet. This is also how it was in vanilla.

IF your target vanishes your pet will 'lose scent' and not be able to follow the target and will return to it's previous state (ie following you)
