[Abilities / Dueling] Remaining: CD issues

I have two reports:

1. [Grounding Totem] - [Shaman]
Grounding Totem never gets destroyed by a non-damaging harmful spell. The 10 second timer between absorbing a spell is correct (it seems, at least) - But it never gets destroyed unless the spell it absorbs actually does direct damage.
I'm pretty sure that's not intended. I tested this extensively and any non-damaging spells it will absorb over and over and over.
What's funny is that Priests can Mind Control the totem, and spin it around. Not sure if that's intended either.
So any counterspell / poly / offensive non-damage spell, the totem will absorb until it runs out of duration or takes any form of actual damage.
EDIT IMPORTANT: - If Priests Mind Control the totem, after the mind control stops, or the totem is destroyed, the Priest will TELEPORT to the totem for a split second, and then teleport back to where they were.
If you do ANY damage to the priest while he's teleported, he will STAY there, and not teleport back. This can be pretty abusive.

2.[Dueling] - [Game Mechanic?]
So if you're in a party with someone while dueling, anyone in your party can give you buffs, heals, or cleanses, or whatever they want, WHILE you are dueling.
And even further, Grounding Totem comes in play here as well.
I tested putting down grounding totem while my party member dueled a Mage - That Mage could not polymorph or counterspell him. My grounding totem absorbed the spells (again without dying) while I was not even in the duel.

I might edit videos of this perhaps later.


Edit: People have corrected me and said Grounding Totem is supposed to work like this. Maybe so.
But the dueling part is definitely not right.

Hello,

Thanks for your reports.
We think the grounding totem works as intended, and should never despawn by a non harmfull spell.
It probably have changed in later expansion.


We confirm that mind control should not allow the priest to control the totem, its a strange bug and it will be reported to our dev team.

We will check interaction beetwen players during duel. Other players reported some issues about it too.

You can see there, that its redirecting every 10 second until destroyed. Totem have 5 hp so even small dmg destroys him but not spells that do no dmg.

Ok, Youtube is being shit at the moment, so I can't seem to export the video to it. So you will have to deal with raw Stream footage and all my surrounding noises, sorry about that in advance.
But here is raw footage of some of the bugs I encountered:

Most important and abusable bug:
1. MIND CONTROL TELEPORTATIONS
If a Priest Mind Controls a Grounding Totem, or perhaps even any totem (not sure did not test other totems) - He can fully control the totem (but it's immobile, so he can just spin it wildly) and when the Mind Control duration ends or the totem is destroyed, the Priest TELEPORTS to where the totem was located for a split second, before teleporting back to where he casted the Mind Control.

If you attack the Priest while he is teleported to where the totem was, the Priest does not teleport back and thus effectively teleported to the totem after Mind Control. This is highly abusable in PvP situations, as you can imagine.

Here is footage of this bug being replicated dozen times - starts @ 5:00 minutes in.


2. WHILE DUELING - Party Members benefit from all friendly AoE spells
If you are in party with someone, and then that person duels someone else, your party member who is currently dueling is affected by any form of friendly spells, auras, AoE passives, Totems (even grounding totem blocks spells for him), AoE heals (also Chain Heal), etc.
The footage below is just a FEW examples of this. Pretty damn sure this goes the same for ALL AoE friendly party member spells and auras, etc.

Here is footage of this bug being replicated with:
Priest's Dispel & AoE Heals - starts @ 6:50
and
Grounding Totem absorbing spells for party members dueling - starts @ 10:56
and
Poison Cleansing Totem removes poisons from party members while they are dueling - starts @ 28min and 40 secs in.


3. SENTRY TOTEM - Doesn't work at all.
Kratuzov already posted this I think - but here is footage of it. - @ 11min and 58 seconds in.
You also SOMETIMES can't seem to cast any spell after trying to use Sentry Totem, and have to press "Escape" on keyboard before you can do any other spell or use any other item.


4. UI RELATED BUG - Cooldowns not being shown and spells used sometimes stuck on "toggle" mode.
I have a suspicion this bug is probably from my mod (Bongos bars), however I am using the same client I did on Rebirth, and I have not fiddled with any of my mods, and I have never seen this bug using my mods throughout years of playing on other private servers.

Here is footage of this happening in a duel - @ 12 min and 20 seconds in.
You can see my Stormstrike and shocks don't show any CD timer, and some spells are "toggled".


Ok, so that's just some of the bugs I found that were recorded. I'm pretty sure I encountered a few more, but I'm not 100% on that. But these I am pretty damn sure are bugged, especially the Mind Control one.

Couldnt reproduce the bug with bongos, which version do you have ? Did you deleted your WDB files before the test ?

I'm not 100% sure what version it is, but it is the version that was included in that giant .rar compilation that has all 1.12.1 addons ever, pretty much. So it's probably the right version, as I've used it many times before.

And I used the client I had been using since Rebirth so I would have all my addons and graphic / sound setups already in place. But it might have been the WDB that was messing with me, I did not delete it before the test.
