That is still being used but instead of a Hearthstone most of the people use first aid .

Shaman vs mage is one of the most one sided duels anyway.

Shaman vs mage is one of the most one sided duels anyway.

It depends entirely on if the mage knows how to fake cast or not.
If you get off one fake cast sheep, you've won. Don't be a scrub and not wand the totems after sheep.
Then apply the usual burst and continue kiting, the shaman will never get to you as he needs to save shocks for earth shock.
Literally all you need to do as a Mage to win is know how to fake cast and not be super predictable at casting times.

Can't believe how bad people were back then

if you are refering to the mage using CS on hearthstone, im fairly certain back then you could not see what spell your enemy was casting, you would just see the animation

shamans healing animation is same as hearthstone animation so it's just a nice trick to use, how would the mage know :p

Yeah thats true, although there were some addons to see that if i am not wrong
