Edited the entire post: sorry for the raging. the installer works fine. it was my firewall. i got a bit annoyed after days of trying to get it to work

I'm attempting to download from mega, but every time I try I get the 'aw, snap!' message and I have to re-start the download from scratch. It's crashed about 3 times now.
I've turned firewall off, and I have no antivirus software installed so I know it's not getting blocked by that.

Anyone else getting the same issue?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
