Dual Wielding Weapons of Same Speed + Flurry

Dual Wielding Weapons of Same Speed + Flurry

I remember back in Vanilla that if you managed to get two weapons of the same speed you could get an effective 4 flurry charges based on getting two auto attacks happen at the same time, was wondering if this info is accurate.

First time heard about that. Not sure thats possible, since there is NO SAME TIME. Anything happens at "same time".
Watch combat log... One attack for sure will be first than other... So, sure 99.99999% there is no any "4stacks"

There was other thing:
SLOW OH and FAST MH, mean if you got flurry up - your MH will "eat" more stacks than OH mean more proffit.

slow Mh means lower damage on Heroic strike, etc, u need slow 1 hands to deal aximum amount of damage, though idk about the flurry thingy

Fast MH, Slow OH -> MH 'eats' more flurry procs so yay!
Slow MH, Fast OH -> You get more flurry procs from the OH so yay!
I found it doesn't really make a difference, just put the higher DPS weapon in your MH.

As for the extra flurry charge, the reason it happens is because your auto attacks work kind of like a cooldown timer. The weapon swings then a hidden 'cast bar' starts counting down starting at your weapon speed. For example, as soon as you take a swing with deathbring (2.9 speed) it starts counting down from 2.9. When it hits 0, you swing again.

While flurry is up, your swing timers move faster. So if you use 2 weapons of the same speed, the auto attacks will hit at CLOSE to the same time (we are talking milliseconds difference) for the entire fight. This means that when you have 1 charge left on flurry, the swing timer for BOTH your weapons count down faster. One hit's 0 and removes the last charge of flurry when the other weapon has effectively 0 seconds left on it's timer. So the second weapon swings right after the first.

I don't know how this worked in retail, but it is my understanding that this is a bug in mangos and the second weapon's swing timer should not be 'sped up' if only 1 flurry charge is remaining.

It's easy to test this, just equip 2 weapons of the same speed (say, 2 low level grey daggers from a vendor) and start a duel with a healer. Just sit there auto attacking for 4-5 minutes while the healer heals them self. If the attacks stop landing at the same time, then you aren't getting the 'extra' flurry charge. If they stay in sync for ever, then you are getting the 'extra' charge.

You're wrong!!!

FAST MH and SLOW OH is better(if they are ~same DPS) if you LACK crit and ur flurry uptime is low, so you wont more MH hits with flurry buff.
But in this case you loosing WW and Overpower dmg, so its usable only with low flurry uptime.

We're just calculating flurry proffit with dif weapon speed. So you wanna me to stop doing this?

There were, they didn't matter as you also got 2 charges sometimes so it evened out, attackspeeed buffs (and debuffs) were calculated in real time, not on a per attack basis.

Assume you have 2 weps with the same attackspeed and, as you said, they're calculated 1 at a time instead of at the same time

MH Hit
OH Crit - procs flurry, now both mh and oh will benefit from the flurry for their full attackduration since they hit essentially at the same time

MH hits again 2 charges left on flurry
OH hits again 1 charge left

MH hits 0 charges left
OH hits but since it's benefitted from the flurry all the way until the mh used the last charge you essentially got the 4th charge.

The problem raises when it's the mh that does the initial hit, since the oh will burn a charge almost instantly.
