Swords or Daggers for PvP?

What do you think of http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#fZh ... bZxMjochoo for PvP hemo swords? I opted for MoD instead of Opportunity because you can't backstab or ambush with swords and I figure you will be opening with cheap shot rather than garrote most of the time.

PS I have no idea what I am doing.
you think it be like it is but it's don't

I think the standard hemo spec is 21/8/22. (cold blood, hemo, prep)

In regards to the spec you posted:

You're too deep in combat.
Weapon skill does nothing in pvp, so weapon expertise = wasted points.
Blade flurry isnt that good for pvp.
Sword spec is... okay, but you sacrifice too much to get it.
Oh, and you really want malace (+crit.)

Try 21/8/22.

I don't know, I heard most Rogues don't use maces in Vanilla. Although according to this video mace spec was OP in TBC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEEtl0oHEHM

Although I wonder why it wasn't OP in Vanilla?

I guess if there ever was a Mace spec it would look something like this. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#fZhbedr0tZxMjochRo or this one if you don't want Ghostly Strike. http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#fZhbedr0tZxMe0chRo

It was a yoke

But you're right, it's really good in TBC (although I'd prefer mutilate for the first seasons).

The reason why it is not used at all is because going that deep into the combat tree to get the Mace Spec points forces you to chose between getting Hemo & Prep in Sub or getting the key talents in Assa. You can't pvp efficiently if you have to give up on these.
If you go for Hemo & Prep like the 2 specs you suggested you won't have Relentless Strikes, Ruthlessness, Malice, Lethality (even though its effect is largely misunderstood) & CB.
If you go for these talents you won't have Hemo nor Prep and using SS as main CP builder simply sucks.

It's a lolspec against other melees when you get good gear though.

this is the superior Hemo spec IMO

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#fhe0RxkZhZxMe0cGRo

weapon type doesn't matter. just use a slow Mainhand with high top end damage and a fast offhand. Stat wise, get 5% hit and then stack Attack Power and Agility

Well I agree with the spec, this is usually the standard Hemo spec but I'm confused if you really need daggers if you are using Hemo. As for weapon type, I still can't get my mind around this. With daggers you can ambush and backstab, you can one shot clothes from the very start, I suppose with daggers and Hemo spec you can alternate from using backstab and Hemo, but the biggest drawback with daggers is they are not the best at doing sustained damage.

Swords and maces on the other hand you can't use those two dagger only abilities but they appear to be the best when applying Hemo and they do better the better sustained damage.

I guess if your intention is to use Hemo with daggers, this spec might be the best to go with.

Because vanilla PVP is all about burst, its about killing someone in eight seconds because you can.

Maces are good in TBC because everyone is ten times more durable. Also, because you have more talent points to push around.

Hemo Daggers is awful. Period. Your Mainhand as Hemo needs to be slow with high top end dmg which is literally the opposite of a Dagger.

In other words, a sword or a mace.
