Hunters: do you make your pet untargettable on purpose?

Does this happen on its own or is it a specific action by the hunter which makes the pet untargetable in pvp?

Greetings,

if you encounter a hunter whose pet is "an invalid target", please make an in-game GM ticket and remember to add in the hunter's name.

They're doing it deliberately. When you see the same prick sending in his pet again and again after low HP people in your raid while he sits safety in the back of his raid; it's no accident. They abuse it to get HKs off people at low HP, which is effective since there's practically no healers in AV, especially on Horde. We rarely, if ever, have healers in Horde BGs. So Alliance Hunters abusing this are just getting easy HKs when people get low HP. You'll see this occur constantly. When someone gets down to 10%, suddenly untargetable pets will go after them over anyone else. It's easy to target you off track or with Eagle Eye, even without line of sight. When they see someone at low hp, they sick the pet on that guy.
