hi. i was thinking of rolling a hunter.

i dont remember much from vanilla, so im gonna ask here.

i'm rolling NE, and i want the best pet with Prowl.
(i AFK constantly, so its very useful for me)

if i remember correctly there was this Cat in the Badlands?
correct me if im wrong, and give me some info on where it spawns.

thanks.

I also might add that a carrion/bat/owl that can learn screech is pretty handy for solo and dungeons from my recent personal experience. Even though at low levels their atk speed sits at 2.00 but we all know how annoying a screeching bird is right?
I only just recently got a carrion just for the screech and dungeons have been smooth as, also with PvE.
Been testing it PvP but haven't taken much notice of, due to 1v5 or 5v1.

Takk the Leaper
This raptor (...) runs even faster than a normal raptor!

I just tamed Tekk and I can confirm that this no longer seems to be the case, sadly. At first I was thinking of reporting it as a bug but after checking some patch notes ( http://wowwiki.wikia.com/Patch_1.9 ) I realized that this is in fact working as intended:

Base pet speed is now standardized for all pets, including legacy pets. Pet speed can still be modified through the talent Bestial Swiftness and pet abilities such as Charge, Dash, etc.

How does my pet learn abilitys? I need to learn Growl, but I dont know how to learn it to my pet.
Im a level 22 Troll Hunter. I have a a Ashenvale Bear as my current pet, when i tamed it, it only came with one spell (Claw)

You learn Growl from pet trainer, along with Armour and Stamina.

All other abilities are learned from the wild, like Bite and Claw and Prowl and Furious Howl and Cower and Dash and so on.
