Thank you all for the Information, Discussion and the Speccs. It helps me a lot to decide for my heal specc at 60.
I would choose the Spirit Buff too with the 10% Mana.

But one more Question:
Would you think it is worth to spend one more point in the Spirit of Redemption for gear farming in 5 man dungeon groups and in low equipped Raids? (Example: all members are Blue geared like in an newly formed Raid Guild) The Idea is to improve the survival rate when something goes wrong because of the lack of gear.

When I get more gear I would change the 10% Mana to 10% heal and would have no more need of the Spirit of Redemption (when the group play is safe and no one wipes anymore)

Never, Ever take Spirit of REdemption, Ever. Your #1 Goal should be to NOT DIE, EVER. If you are dying frequently enough for it to be viable you need to reevaluate what you are doing to cause yourself to die this much.

it's only useful in world pvp or something.. that's about it. or maybe AV when you get sniped by towers and want to keep healing others.

also consider that the spirit form on Nost counts as a lowest HP target and anyone using a heal macro will target you instead of a "living" player.

spiritual healing 10% does not scale with +healing bonus's. it is just a flat 10% base amount added.

+860 healing on gear unbuffed.

this means that mental strength WILL scale with gear and buffs as it is a flat 10% maximum mana modifier.

my unbuffed mana 6871 will go to 7558 (+687 mana)
my fully raid buffed mana of 9271 will go to 10198 (+927 mana)

Mental strength will scale with gear and extra +intelligence statistic, whereas Spiritual healing does not scale at all, nor does it affect +healing additives.

TLDR, get mental strength for more mana if you have enough +healing.

It's more just having to get the Spiritual Guidance to get the Spiritual Healing talent, which gives you a flat 10% amount heal increase.

There is one last thing I am questioning. You said that mental strength scales with buffs and gear. Does that include elixirs and distilled wisdom? If it includes ALL buffs then for sure mental strength is ALWAYS better than spiritual healing.
