Druid specs

Can we get a post with lots of common druid specs for all the roles? Wowprovider hasn't worked for a while now so if anyone could link specs through http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#0 that would be great

Healing and Boomkin is two top choices for end-game, PvP and PvE.

Healing
Put all points in everything except Furor and Improved Enrage; extra 5 talent points is for your choice to spend. In rare cases I've seen some druids sacrifice some talent points in restoration talent tree so they can get Omen of Clarity talent and then meele if they are out of mana or want to conserve mana.

Boomkin
This spec is a bit complicated but recommend for raiding when it comes to Starfire spamming and Reflection talent is a must if you plan to raid with Boomkin;
Code: Select all
Balance (35 points)

Improved Wrath - Rank 5/5
Reduces the cast time of your Wrath spell by 0.5 sec.

Improved Moonfire - Rank 5/5
Increases the damage and critical strike chance of your Moonfire spell by 10%.

Improved Thorns - Rank 3/3
Increases damage caused by your Thorns spell by 75%.

Nature's Reach - Rank 2/2
Increases the range of your Wrath, Entangling Roots, Faerie Fire, Moonfire, Starfire, and Hurricane spells by 20%.

Vengeance - Rank 5/5
Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Starfire, Moonfire, and Wrath spells by 100%.

Improved Starfire - Rank 5/5
Reduces the cast time of Starfire by 0.5 sec and has a 15% chance to stun the target for 3 sec.

Nature's Grace - Rank 1/1
All spell criticals grace you with a blessing of nature, reducing the casting time of your next spell by 0.5 sec.

Moonglow - Rank 3/3
Reduces the Mana cost of your Moonfire, Starfire, Wrath, Healing Touch, Regrowth and Rejuvenation spells by 9%.

Moonfury - Rank 5/5
Increases the damage done by your Starfire, Moonfire and Wrath spells by 10%.

Moonkin Form - Rank 1/1
Transforms the Druid into Moonkin Form. While in this form the armor contribution from items is increased by 360% and all party members within 30 yards have their spell critical chance increased by 3%. The Moonkin can only cast Balance spells while shapeshifted.

The act of shapeshifting frees the caster of Polymorph and Movement Impairing effects.
Feral Combat (0 points)

None
Restoration (13 points)

Improved Mark of the Wild - Rank 5/5
Increases the effects of your Mark of the Wild and Gift of the Wild spells by 35%.

Nature's Focus - Rank 5/5
Gives you a 70% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage while casting the Healing Touch, Regrowth and Tranquility spells.

Reflection - Rank 3/3
Allows 15% of your Mana regeneration to continue while casting.

Hybrid Spec
I used this for flag carrying spec for WSG
Code: Select all
Balance (13 points)

Nature's Grasp - Rank 1/1
While active, any time an enemy strikes the caster they have a 35% chance to become afflicted by Entangling Roots (Rank 1). Only useable outdoors. 1 charge. Lasts 45 sec.

Improved Nature's Grasp - Rank 4/4
Increases the chance for your Nature's Grasp to entangle an enemy by 65%.

Improved Entangling Roots - Rank 3/3
Gives you a 100% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage while casting Entangling Roots.

Natural Shapeshifter - Rank 3/3
Reduces the mana cost of all shapeshifting by 30%.

Nature's Reach - Rank 2/2
Increases the range of your Wrath, Entangling Roots, Faerie Fire, Moonfire, Starfire, and Hurricane spells by 20%.
Feral Combat (26 points)

Ferocity - Rank 5/5
Reduces the cost of your Maul, Swipe, Claw, and Rake abilities by 5 Rage or Energy.

Feral Aggression - Rank 5/5
Increases the Attack Power reduction of your Demoralizing Roar by 40% and the damage caused by your Ferocious Bite by 15%.

Feral Instinct - Rank 5/5
Increases threat caused in Bear and Dire Bear Form by 15% and reduces the chance enemies have to detect you while Prowling.

Brutal Impact - Rank 2/2
Increases the stun duration of your Bash and Pounce abilities by 1 sec.

Thick Hide - Rank 5/5
Increases your Armor contribution from items by 10%.

Feline Swiftness - Rank 2/2
Increases your movement speed by 30% while outdoors in Cat Form and increases your chance to dodge while in Cat Form by 4%.

Feral Charge - Rank 1/1
Causes you to charge an enemy, immobilizing and interrupting any spell being cast for 4 sec.

Faerie Fire (Feral) - Rank 1/1
Decrease the armor of the target by 175 for 40 sec. While affected, the target cannot stealth or turn invisible.
Restoration (7 points)

Furor - Rank 5/5
Gives you 100% chance to gain 10 Rage when you shapeshift into Bear and Dire Bear Form or 40 Energy when you shapeshift into Cat Form.

Improved Enrage - Rank 2/2
The Enrage ability now instantly generates 10 Rage.

Meele DPS
Feral spec is fun and great but when it comes to higher gear levels you will lag behind and this becomes a bit more challenging spec PvE wise but this is what I recommend. The reason why we want Omen of Clarity is so we get free attacks, plus we get extra 10% physical damage which is neat!
Code: Select all
Balance (14 points)

Nature's Grasp - Rank 1/1
While active, any time an enemy strikes the caster they have a 35% chance to become afflicted by Entangling Roots (Rank 1). Only useable outdoors. 1 charge. Lasts 45 sec.

Improved Nature's Grasp - Rank 4/4
Increases the chance for your Nature's Grasp to entangle an enemy by 65%.

Natural Weapons - Rank 5/5
Increases the damage you deal with physical attacks in all forms by 10%.

Natural Shapeshifter - Rank 3/3
Reduces the mana cost of all shapeshifting by 30%.

Omen of Clarity - Rank 1/1
Imbues the Druid with natural energy. Each of the Druid's melee attacks has a chance of causing the caster to enter a Clearcasting state. The Clearcasting state reduces the Mana, Rage or Energy cost of your next damage or healing spell or offensive ability by 100%. Lasts 10 min.
Feral Combat (32 points)

Ferocity - Rank 5/5
Reduces the cost of your Maul, Swipe, Claw, and Rake abilities by 5 Rage or Energy.

Feral Aggression - Rank 5/5
Increases the Attack Power reduction of your Demoralizing Roar by 40% and the damage caused by your Ferocious Bite by 15%.

Brutal Impact - Rank 2/2
Increases the stun duration of your Bash and Pounce abilities by 1 sec.

Feline Swiftness - Rank 1/2

Predatory Strikes - Rank 3/3
Increases your melee attack power in Cat, Bear and Dire Bear Forms by 150% of your level.

Blood Frenzy - Rank 2/2
Your critical strikes from Cat Form abilities that add combo points have a 100% chance to add an additional combo point.

Savage Fury - Rank 2/2
Increases the damage caused by your Claw, Rake, Maul and Swipe abilities by 20%.

Faerie Fire (Feral) - Rank 1/1
Decrease the armor of the target by 175 for 40 sec. While affected, the target cannot stealth or turn invisible.

Heart of the Wild - Rank 5/5
Increases your Intellect by 20%. In addition, while in Bear or Dire Bear Form your Stamina is increased by 20% and while in Cat Form your Strength is increased by 20%.

Anyone got a balance spec that could be used in PvP but also decent enough to get away with when it comes to raid healing?

I woulndt want to wipe once for someone, who dont want to pay his gold for an PvE Spec in Raid.

With such a spec u would suck in PvP and in PvE either.. theres no other choice than

..an PvE Owl spec, with that u can only dps in pve and pvp and so some healing but no good,
..an real PvP Hybrid Spec to rumble as owl
..or an real PvE Heal spec to keep ur grp up

I'm no expert but I would think you need +healing gear to raid heal. Boomkin needs the +extra damage so bad combination.

It's actually possible to change your gear between pvping and raiding, FYI.
