Is feral viable for levelling to D1?

Hello everyone,
Im a new player to vanilla, ive messed around on some in the past but never dedicated to it. As the title says is a feral druid viable for levelling and 60 dungeons? Not planning to raid on that character really.

Yes of course, you can tank all of the dungeons as-well and raid as Feral but not tank past Molten Core.

it's really pleasing to hear because i've always heard and been told if you roll a druid - heal or gtfo

It would be EXTREMELY difficult to get into a proper raiding guild as a Feral, but raid groups will be looking for at-least one for the buff and utility. So in that Druids are mostly expected to go restoration for raids, as the "one feral of the raid" spot has probably already been filled.

Try being a Moonkin and getting into one though. That would be the real impossible challenge.

They are viable. I currently dps and tank in BWL and I do just fine.

But it is true that it is difficult to find a guild as a feral druid because most guilds that do run with ferals only run with 1 and very rarely 2 (though it happens, my guild runs with 2 ), and that spot is usually already taken by a dedicated player.

Difficult, but not impossible.
