Why you should use these:

Assuming you have separate weapons/off-hands/totems for healing than you do for damage, this allows you to swap between the two sets to provide yourself the most amount of +dmg and/or +healing possible depending on what you're doing at the time. So, as an example say I'm in the middle of a WSG game and I'm free to assist with damage and I have my damage set equipped, but then one of my teammates suddenly needs to be picked up and I have to switch to healing. While casting any healing spell these will automatically equip my healing set and vice versa. Note that this only works for weapons/totems as you can swap them while in combat and they're not on the global cooldown.

In addition to the weapon swap macros there are also four that will interrupt your current spell cast to Earth Shock (either using rank 1 or max rank depending on the situation - rank 1 for interrupting people that aren't your primary burn target e.g. healers, and max rank for interrupting casts on the target you're trying to kill). The other two interrupt your current spell cast to drop tremor totem and grounding totem respectively depending on the situation. For example, say you're a target and you notice a Warlock in your peripheral starting to cast fear, your current cast will be interrupted and you'll drop tremor to prevent a long CC chain on yourself that usually ends in death. The same goes for grounding totem.
