I noticed the 3 set bonus gives you 15% mana regeneration while casting.
Is it useful for healing?

It's a pretty good & extremely cheap BOE set for when you first hit 60 and start running dungeons. Shamans have over 100 base spirit, and potentially +40 divine spirit & +27 imp motw. Along with the 60 spirit on the set, it works out to something like +20-25mp5 depending on any other spirit you might have.

Padre's pants + Harmonious gloves + Exalted robes is going to be a lot better though: you'd lose about 15-20mp5 but pick up +25 int & 161 healing.
