The results are in. As far as off spec dps goes, ret is without a doubt at the bottom of the barrel with shamans coming in a close second. Rets viability is virtually identical to a holy paladin. Choose meager dps with utility or a fully capable healer with utility? Or skip the utility because you have enough holys and bring a real dps to the fight. At least druids, priests, and shamans provide an ancillary buff to others in the raid. If you have enough holys you don't need another aura or blessing.

As I said in my post, Ret DPS is subpar, even more so until AQ gear and gear updates. HEY, GUESS WHAT, THESE HAVEN'T HAPPENED YET! Ret itemization was piss poor until this point. Shaman, Druid, and Priest DPS itemization actually makes sense at this point.

Even then, YOU DON'T TAKE RETS IF YOU WANT PURE DPS. If you want pure DPS, you take a fucking Warrior. Rets bring utility that a Warrior doesn't bring, and Warriors bring more damage than a Ret brings. I'm not saying they deserve a priority raid spot, I'm not saying you should have 8 Rets in a raid. I'm saying you can bring 1 or 2 for the utility they bring, which should be strongly considered if you are Druid heavy (for whatever reason) and are lacking Paladins for blessings.

1- Retribution Paladin is most bugged DPS Class in server and issue major nerf due to broken abilities.
2- Incompatible patch abilities that does not match with the current server Paladin set Gear.

I'm not sure how the top dps of each class is cherrypicking. Seems like a perfect comparison of the best of the best trying their best to show the classes highest potential dps output. Guess that means I'm cheating to show it. It's no secret that pretty much any druid who is a serious feral will be higher than any paladins. And I thought we brought ferals for the utility. Do we consider holy pallys to be some kind of raid rarity? We haven't ever had that problem. And I'll repeat that holy pallys are excellent healers and prove their raid spot repeatedly and can do all of that great utility that rets can...

Yeah I'm extremely concerned about our lack of ret with AQ approaching. Imba promised to take me to the promised land and I don't think we're gonna make it!
