Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I am currently a 44 Paladin and I'm at the end of my rope, Honestly been trying to quest as Ret but it's so slow and painful,With the Horde being all over the place taking over questing spots, or just the slow damage from auto attacks and Seal of command not procing.

So I am thinking of either tanking or healing my way to 60. I need an honest answer please and thank you
