Nostalrius Begins - Quality wow vanilla realm (1.12)

I died in the game and became a spirit. So I was running back to my body, as usual.
On the way I realized that I didn't allocate a talent point, so I chose a talent and allocated it. This caused my spirit to die!
Thusly, I clicked release spirit again. But nothing changed, my spirit stayed dead and I wouldn't get a new spirit.
What am I supposed to do?

I've sent a detailed bug report so the according item can be amended in the tracking system.
