US Latency

Hi there!

I'm currently in the eastern time zone of U.S.A. and my latency is ~150. This is a bit high for smooth gameplay and i wanted to bring this to administrations thought. I am aware that the Nostalrius servers are location in the EU, which naturally will result in a high latency for US users, and i have tried several VPN to lower my latency with no success. I dont know if it's possible but i would love love love to see lower latency numbers. If it is possible and would be costly, myself and i am positive that others would be willing to donate to your cause in reaching that goal.

I really love the server, great work. I hope i can play here for a long time. :D

You can notice ~150ms? Wow..I USUALLY can't.

I'm at around ~110ms or so. When we see 5-6k users I hit around ~180ms. The only time I notice it is if I'm chasing someone in PvP and on my screen I'm clearly on their ass, but none of my attacks are registering because I'm probably out of range on the server side.

it seems you miss the point completly.

The main problem for the high latency in overseas is, that the signals must cross the entire world.
Using VPN does not help there since, well, the signals must still cross the entire world.

There is no real solution to this problems, besides hosting the servers in the US.

Using a cloud hosting service would definitely result in better pings. Even the Aussies on Scriptcraft didn't complain about latency because of how the dev had it set up.

I also agree that if there's a way to make this possible that a large portion of NA players would probably donate to ensure that the services could be afforded.

I agree that ~150 ms isnt terrible, but in pvp as a rogue and in general my abilities are such delayed. it sucks. i only suggested that we would donate for a lower latency in america if at all possible

yeah you US players need to stop complaining.

All us Australians (and theres a ton of us here) range from 300-600ping.
and I can pvp fine, I just have to predict where you really are, like 1-2 meters ahead :P

Imagine if we had a good ping, us Aussys would kill it in PvP :P

I'm on the east coast of NA as well and I typically get 130ms, give or take. I don't really notice any lag or performance issues at all.
