here, you need to shit your pants to get above blood guard

Now that is just utter bullshit. Im rank9 and never got more than 160k honor/week. Which you can get by playing during bg weekends. Going over rank10 might be a pain without all week to play tho.

For some people it's not about having fake rank. They just want to do few BGs a day and log. Sometimes it takes to long to find a premade or they don't want you because of your gear/low rank and then you need to pug.
I doubt they will ever implement premade vs premade BGs. Besides imagine all the fake rank dodgers cry if they actually had to fight in BGs.

PvP is a joke on this server because everyone thinks PvP=BGs

guess we all can't be as good as infinity in wPvP

Pug pvp isnt bad at all, once in a while you run into some premade. Game is over quick unlike in retail when they farmed graveyard for ages. Pug vs pug happens alot and some of them turns out to be great games.

Putting together your own spontane premade isnt hard at all, easy to lead and setup which will result in somewhat good results.

I dunno I feel the same way, when I was playing Vanilla back in the day, the number of hardcore nolifers was waaaaaaaay lower than what I am seeing here on Nost. You guys do remember that back in the day, easily half of players were super casual really shitty players, right? Am I the only person that remembers encountering a decent number of players with like horrible specs, shit gear, etc?

At least they weren't greedy fucking assholes fighting over everything in dungeons and ragequitting when 1 thing didn't go their way...

There were plenty of hardcore nolifers in retail. On my server, there were way fewer people with high pvp ranks at the same time, but that's just because Nost's population makes it easier to get ranks. Also, I think that due to the lack of endgame content, people here might be a bit more bored and have nothing better to do than pvp. We have one raid and it is easy to steamroll. I think it'll be a different story when people have multiple raids to run per week, need to farm rep, need to farm mats for consumables, etc.

I'm that guy who was nolife to Rank 14 in Vanilla, and would never even consider it again. But I'm curious how long it takes here to get Rank 14. IIRC it too me about 13 weeks of full time BGs to get my HWL weapons. Then a month later TBC came out and they were worthless. That's when I quit (truth).

More or less the same thing happened to me, though I stopped at Rank 13, because I was a mage and didn't really feel that the weapon was worth a few more weeks of grinding to me. What pissed me off the most is when patch 2.0 (the patch with all the TBC changes) came out during the last month of Vanilla. That patch made it so that honor was a currency, and people were able to get the exact same gear as me with only one day of pvping. It put a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

I also had rank 13 and 11 on retail, but as i said before, average low ranks here farms alot more then average low rank in 2005/06 (average pugging rank 6 on horde has 150k+) and face alot more premades(due to dodging). In my time, there were only 2-3 premades on each side and it was disgracefull for any premade to dodge another one

While yesterday i saw most of "elite" ally pvpers jumping up and down from one bg to another scouting for pugs
