Vanilla Better Without Battlegrounds?

I like world pvp too but not griefing like it already happends in Blacrock mountain.. not fun to wait 30min for all party to get in. It's just a waste of time. No BGs would make all ranking players make camp partys and they would camp Flight masters and Dungeon portals (easy and constant flow of HK)... but ofc I can't expect a retard like you to think ahead of what consequences would be...

yes, all the best casual fun ive had in wow came long before the bg patch. even the honor patch hit wpvp fun by creating the abomination of south shore tug of war.

this server missed the mark on vanilla by many patches starting from day 1, but at least 29s are close to blizzlike.

I agree with most other people. Though.. I do love world pvp a lot more. BGS are necessary.

Remember when joining a Battleground getting automatically in the raidgroup? This feature was added in 1.12.0.

So in all the nearly 2 year in Vanilla, everyone enjoyed PvP without getting automatically invited to the battleground. This is cool as rogue, nobody can look at map and blame people who are in stealth.... and you just cant blame anyone at all by looking at the map because you dont know where everybody is and you are on your own have to make the best

When you join a battleground, you are automatically added to a raid group. You MAY NOT leave that group.

Battlegrounds are fine, problem within bgs is reward for winning is too big which results in people making premades and abusing it for easy ranking progress which makes pugs unable to rank properly.

Arenas in TBC were far more cancerous because they were a deathmatch type and basicly the whole idea behind them was to put FOTM classes/spec in one team and instakill enemy team in 2 minutes, to make it worse all top PvP gear was obtainable only through arena

To make it even more worse Blizzard didnt intend for arenas to be something permanent but they implemented them to be bandaid fix until they could make decent World PvP features in Outland which for some reason got delayed so everyone was stuck with broken permanent arenas.
