Last statistics made last weekend gave the following ratio: 37% Alliance's victory for 63% on Horde's side for the last 624 AV matchs.
As a consequence, Stormpike explosives expert took the decision to add more landmines on a specific spot to slow down Horde's attacks. New landmines has been set to explode according to existing ones.
I highly disagree with this kind of custom hot fixes. You don't have to change how a BG works because a lot of carebears from one faction are QQing that the other side has a map advantage.
You did the same mistake months ago by changing how pvp queue system works because carebear PUGs cried about getting stomped by premades, resulting in the worst queue system ever.
Following the answer's logic given to this thread, you might as well add landmines or fences in WSG near the horde portal on the ledge where you can jump on with slowfall, since alliance doesn't have that on their side of the map.
Either you consider this backdoor jump blizzlike and you don't do non-blizzlike/custom changes because one side can't be asked to develop a tactic answering it, or you simply forbid it.
It is not even proved that Horde wins more AVs thanks to the backdoor jump. It could just mean Alliance usually sucks at performing a defense that is different from the Dun Baldar bridge one.
I'm wondering if this is a "one time only" thing or if it's the beginning of the end for Nost like entire guilds predicted. For most players, this server is worth playing on because it aims at keeping things blizzlike and provide the most blizzlike experience possible.
Meanwhile a lot of other things could use a "hotfix" towards blizzlike in AV like a lot of people already mentioned in this thread and other several ones.
Or more concerning and important issues like class, mechanics, existing raid content related bugs reported and confirmed on the tracker since months.
Lastly, do you really think adding more landmines will do anything apart from giving some relief to the couple QQers who can't be asked to play depending on each side's strengths & weaknesses in a BG ?
